So my order went through and my card was charged, but it has been 2+ hrs and I still have not gotten my confirmation email. I try logging in but there is an error. Is anyone else going through the same problems?

It took me almost 4 hours to get my order in. Eventually got through and ordered a 32GB Wifi only in Black. Got my Confirmation Email within 5 minutes surprisingly.
Hoping by some chance FedEx/UPS will mess up and deliver on the 15th, as I'll be on a train to NY on the 16th.

It's just a "hold" not actually "charged" till it ships. It'll probably wipe out in the next few days than reappear cleared after you get your Tracking number.
Apple usually holds the money for a few days to make sure that you're good for it. Then they release that charge until the device ships.
I'm wondering when their initial stock inventory will run out? At this rate I don't think it'll be too long.
At least the iPad 2 fiasco can be avoided for now, with those insane lines packed with scalpers. Although, this probably remains to be seen next week when the retail stores open on their first in- stock day.

Got my order through at about 4:10pm. Got my confirmation email at 4:24pm.
Ordered a 64GB, 4G/WiFi, Black, new iPad on Rogers network. Also ordered a new AppleTV.

You might want to log into your account at the Apple Store and double check that your order shows completed. I would assume with the volume of orders the confirmations may be delayed.
When I placed my order after the announcement this afternoon,it took 40 minutes to go through all the steps, the site kept crashing. I printed the order confirmation, then received a confirmation email about 15 minutes later.
I finally got my order in at 4:45PM EST, and got my email confirmation at 4:55PM. Looks like I've got a new hobby for the next week... F5'ing my Order Status.
Why? Nothings gonna happen until next Thursday??
Does Amazon generally offer pre-order for iPad ? Did they offer for iPad 2 ?

Got my email confirmation. Now I ordered two black 32GB wifi model and my wife ordered one white 32GB wifi model. Is the two maximum for each apple account or will they eventually flag it since three are being order to the same address? We both got our email confirmation.

I put in my order at around 6pm Eastern time and got an email at 7:30.
Got the 32gb AT&T model, I'm selling my iPad 2 to my sister so I'm pretty set!

I got through pretty easily, only received an error message once, before finalizing the order. Processed in about a minute, $1 charge on the card, still awaiting confirmation e-mail but I have an order number.
Still Shipping the base model (16GB WiFi black) for delivery on the 16th!!!!
