The New iPad Pre-Order Status Thread (USA) - All Models

For some reason, I don't get as freaked out /worried purchasing an iPad anymore ( the first one was the exception). Now, when ANY iPhone comes out, that is an entirely different story.

I got the 4G model for the built in GPS and the option to add data down the road if I wanted.

I could be wrong but I just don't see that happening with this launch. Apple seems to have ramped it up or the demand is just not high since alot of people are (not tech geeks like us) probably satisfied with what they have.
 
Got my black 64 GB Wi-Fi + 4G LTE AT&T iPad ordered today, for delivery next Friday.

So you know what *I* will be doing next Friday night and Saturday... :)

(Plus a couple of new Apple TVs, one for each TV. That'll be a Sunday project.)
 
Anyone still not get their email confirmation? It's been well over 4 hours, checked spam, email, tried calling (too busy). It's been pre-charged on my card, and in the order status, it is still in "processing item". Did my order go through?! Please help!!!

I was told that I may need to wait up to 24 hours for a confirmation email. They were able to see my W order number in their system, but I can't see it in my apple store account. They said it should be fine tomorrow. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

BTW, those of you that pressed the "place order" button and got an error, and then tried again later may have more than one Ipad ordered. I was told I have two W order numbers. I'll need to cancel one when they process completely tomorrow.

I ordered mine at 5PM and finally got my confirmation about two minutes ago. So it took almost 6 hours. Don't worry. It'll show up.
 
My status looks fine when I check it. But just no email. I did order the free engraving, so I was thinking that was why I wasn't getting the confirmation email yet (and it's been over 4 hours). It's not in the spam folder although that email box was full. But typically when that happens, the emails show up later, after I cleaned it out (which I did).

i am guessing this is the exact reason why people not knowing much about ipads may want to buy this time too (oh a new ipad ! Thats good enough) ... = most of the people here wont pay $1400 for an ipad ... i saw people paying that much last time on ebay... who are these people ? i am sure they are still around ... :)
 
The website on my MBP was worthless after numerous tries. Finally got it done with the Apple store app on my iPhone after about 20 tries. 64GB White Verizon 4G.

Yes you can, it says so on Apple's website. I returned stuff from the online store to a brick and mortar store before.
 
What is this about a confirmation email? I placed my pre-order on Apple's site and it shows "Processing Items". I suppose I'll get an email when the iPad is shipped.

Finally got my order through just before 4pm today.
Got my confirmation email 13 minutes later.

64GB black 4G LTE on Rogers

Also picked up a new AppleTV.

Looking forward to delivery. :)

The Apple Store site was experiencing more downtime during the initial period of Pre-Orders than when the iPhone 4S launched...at least it seemed that way. If that is any indication of demand. We all know how successful the iPhone 4S has been!

Same here

Preorder went though at 4:30PM EST with web order number

Called 2 hours later and confirmed my order for an iPad and ATV...CS told me they will email me a confirmation and another email when shipped with tracking. :confused:

I think I had this same anxiety when I preordered the 4s :mad:
