16/Black/Wifi Switched from Preparing for shipment to Shipped as of 10:06pm EST. Hopefully everyone gets their email soon.

Same exact thing happened to me. BOA refused payment and my order was not processed by Apple. Had to go on Apple.com, cancel my order, and order again.

 I use BOA also, through my BOA account is says the payment to Apple is processing. My conformation email through Apple, also says my order is still processing.

Did BOA alert you that they did not allow the payment?

If I have not received an alert my order should still be valid?

Thanks!

My 16gb black wifi model that I ordered at about 3pm yesterday finnaly says "preparing for shipment". Let's just say I'm alittle excited.lol :p

Black 32 gb Wifi Only, No engraving. Ordered 03/07 4:01 Eastern time has been changed to preparing for shipment. as of 7 pm 03/08

I got lucky and got my order in early through the Apple Store app while it was still working and my order still says processing. I ordered a black 16GB 4G+Wifi. My BofA account says that the money is processing. It looks like most of the orders that are prepared for shipment or shipped are wifi only models.

My order that was placed at around 2:20 PST has also switched to "Preparing for shipment"

@HardCoreMuffin BofA called me a few mins after i ordered to confirm with an automated system and then later emailed me with instructions to call them. When I called I got a live person immediately and verified my info and explained the situation and they where cool and took off the fraud alert. Apple did did authorize (~$1100) my card as soon as I ordered for both of my orders a White and Black Wifi 16GB. Also I used my BofA Credit Card not Debit so for those of you who are using a BofA Debit card be aware that Apple authorizes the full amount immediately when you order and BofA treats an authorization as an actual charge so if you don't have the funds in your checking account they will reject the charge.

Yes they sent an email stating that they thought it was an irregular charge. My account was flagged and I had to call and verify that I had indeed authorized the charge. They still had to cancel the charge and I had to redo it. Unless you got some sort of notification from BOA, your order is fine.

64G black AT&T w/engraving Preparing for shipment. It might have been that way earlier in the day but I hadn't thought to check until seeing this thread.

Unless BOA contacts you or let's you know they've declined the purchase I wouldn't worry.

It's not uncommon for merchants to authorize the purchase with your cc company, and not finalize the transaction until they are ready to ship items to you. That is likely why it still says processing order for you.

Yeah, I used a debit card. Right after the Keynote, I transferred around $600 to my checking, then bought my iPad a few hours later. BOA shows "-$541.21" dollars as a payment to Apple, and I never received an alert. So I should be good. Hopefully!

Thanks!

Thank you ECUpirate and SporkLover as well.

I ordered a 16GB White Wifi at 8:50pm EST today (3/8/2012) and it has been showing 'Preparing for Shipment' already. :D That's less than 3 hours. :D

I think all orders marked prepared for shipment today, ship tomorrow from China, Arrive in the US days later, sit at fed ex regional hubs until the 14, then ship out for delivery our doorsteps on the 16 :)

That's the feeling I got as well, guess it doesn't matter when it leaves China, it's not supposed to reach us until the 16th.

I wonder why Apple would not like it to reach any earlier though, is it something about having people line up at the stores or something?

The actual availability date isn't supposed to be until the 16 so Apple tries their best to keep that promise, but a few slip through every time. I bet the first one will be delivered the 14th.

Yeah I understand that. I'm just wondering why Apple supposedly doesn't like it if it reaches any earlier.

Just preordered my new iPad. I was torn between saving $150 on the refurb iPad 2, but decided for the new one, mostly because of the better camera. Also put in a blue smartcover with it :) Delivery date still says the 16th so here's to hoping!

My wifi iPad is preparing do shipment while my LTE iPad and new apple tv is still processing.

I'm guessing I'll be getting mine on the 16th with the masses. I've yet to receive anything ipad, iphones, etc. before launch day.
