yep, at some point this afternoon...i have been checking OCD style like the rest of us. I have been in school all day working on a final project so I don't have an exact time of when it happened. Im in Colorado
 
My March 8th order for a black 32GB with Wi-Fi is still in processing. I actually called today to check in as I never received a confirmation email. Was reassured that everything looked good and the iPad is set for launch day delivery. Hope that's true! Towards the end of the convo the rep apologized for the inconvenience and graciously offered me my choice of smart cover. So that was really nice! Again, this is my first time buying an Apple product and so far it's been a nice experience.
 
Well, both of mine are now shipped. Black WiFi 16GB shipped yesterday and black Verizon 32GB shipped today. I wasn't worried about them not arriving on time though but I found it a little fun to occasionally check. 🙂
 
Mine has been stuck at, "Preparing for Shipment" since Thursday night. Wonder if it fell on the floor somewhere after the put the shipping sticker on it.😕

Well I ordered mine (16GB 4G LTE + WIFI AT&T) at about 3:30 pm. on March 7, 2012. The order status has read "Processing" since then. And today the credit card authorization dropped from my bank-- since it was just an authorization and not an actual charge. I called apple and they indicated that there is nothing wrong with the order-- they're just waiting for the warehouse in question to ship it at which point I will actually be charged. All that said, I am growing pessimistic. Anyone in the same situation? 😡
 
My black 32Gb ordered on March 7th changed to shipped today. It got picked up by FedEx in Middletown, PA (which is about 2 hours from home). My black 64Gb that was ordered in the morning on March 9 (scheduled to be delivered on the 16th) is preparing for shipment.

I'm in the same situation. And like you, Apple said everything is fine with the order when I called earlier today. I'm sure there's some "behind the scenes" logic to the order in which these are shipping, it's just not obvious to me!
 
Got my ship confirmation at 2:30pm this afternoon (ordered March 7th). 32GB 4G ATT Black picked up in Middletown, PA on it's way to NYC. Glad to see Fedex this time as UPS never comes before 6pm.
 
I'm posting this mostly to reassure myself but maybe it'll help other people too. 😱

After almost every major Apple product launch, people check their order status like crazy. Then when one person's product finally changes (Processing Item -> Preparing for Shipment, Preparing for Shipment -> Shipped, etc), people get very antsy when their's doesn't change. The thing we have to realize is that: Apple knows what they're doing. They, presumably, have stock all over the world at different locations- some closer and further than others to where you live. Yes, sometimes orders get mixed up- that's inevitable- but it's extremely rare and you should be confident you will get your iPad (or whatever you're waiting for) when Apple says you will. Also, just because people are seeing their things ship already, that doesn't necessarily mean that they will get it earlier than you or before launch. Apple did deliver most early pre-orders for the iPhone 4 a couple years back but it was only 1 day early and nearly everyone on here (since we all pre-order...) got ours. So, if they do decide to deliver some early, if you pre-ordered around the time as everyoe else, you should be good. But just be patient. Even if you're status hasn't changed on Thursday, Apple will do to everything in their power to have it shipped overnight so you get your iPad when they promised.

Got my confirmation email at 3:33 pm CST on launch day. 64G AT&T black. I'm still stuck on 'Processing'. I won't get worried unless its still 'processing' next Wed or so. If its still processing then well, I'll start making calls.
 
32GB White Wifi today went from processing to preparing for shipment 🙂

Now apple just needs to release the hold on the 16gb that I cancelled before it left processing. Currently holding $1170 from me 😛

Don't worry, this is exactly what happened with my iPhone 4S, and I got it on launch day. It's normal for the authorization hold to drop after a few days.
 
iPad Shipment

Just received notice that mine has shipped from Middleton, PA to suburb of Philly and it does not have far to travel, maybe 60 miles. Only problem is I won't be home to receive it on launch day. Did order on the 7th.
