The New iPad Shipment Status Thread

i ordered mine the same day on the 7th its in tennesee to white 64gb for verizon i was expecting them to ship it from china like they did my factory unlocked iphone 4s
 
Well I got a rather rude surprise today.

I guess Apple had charged me for 4 iPads.

I ordered 2 at the same time. The system charged for the order, and then charged again for each individual iPad at the time of shipping.

No big deal really I called once I saw the extra charges on the card and they sorted it out. I will be out about 1600 dollars for 3 to 5 days while they process the refund on the extra iPads but other than that it was easy to fix.

If you are worried about money in the bank you might want to keep an eye on your account for a few days. I'm sure I'm not the only one that might have got an extra charge or two.

I have holded for two iPads by Apple in my bank account:
1682 USD on 08.03.2012
787 USD on 13.03.2012

Anyway, I would like to get iPads, then I will see state of holded money, in case of double billing I will start a claim in my bank :cool:

Got my tracking number days ago. But still haven't been charged yet. I have heard of some people already being charged once they received their tracking info. Anyone here get charged yet?
 
Mine was only blocked while "processing" and "being prepared". They grabbed the money for real a few days after it was shipped.
 
Mine was shipped during the weekend but no UPS update since leaving China. Oh the suspense!

Anyone one else's still stuck in Alaska for the past 6 days. Yet still says to be delivered by the 16th.
 
My shipment is stuck at Louisville since 13th. It shipped on 10th from china, 32G WiFi engraved, and the other one I can't even track it. Apple gave me the tracking number and says it's shipped, but still cant track.

Is it normal? It's my first time pre-order from Apple. :confused:
 
Now that we're all wasting time here, this is a good time for irrelevant questions:
What's the difference between "adult signature" and "indirect signature"?
 
iPad Shipment

I ordered my iPad(16G White Engraved) on March 7th about 430pm. I received an email on March 9th saying it was shipped from China. I have been able to track it up to Kentucky. It has been in Kentucky since Sunday and according to UPS there hasnt been departure scan from Louisville, Kentucky. It still saying that it will be delivered on the 16th but Im still getting nervous that it wont cuz it hasnt left Ky yet.

This is my first iPad and I cant wait to get it. Ive been waiting for one since the first generation came out. I just hope it will really be here tomorrow.

Indirect Signature Required: FedEx obtains a signature from someone at the delivery address; from a neighbor, building manager or someone at a neighboring address; or the recipient can also leave a FedEx Door Tag authorizing release of the package without anyone present.

Direct Signature Required: FedEx obtains a signature from someone at the delivery address. If no one is at the address, we reattempt delivery.

Adult Signature Required: FedEx obtains a signature from someone at least 21 years old (and possessing the required government-issued photo ID) at the delivery address. If no eligible recipient is at the address, we reattempt delivery.

So this basically means that my dog could sign for me. That's great.
But why does Apple ship iPads with different signature options?

My UPS tracking says that it left Alaska 3/10 11:30PM, no other info except that it will arrive in NYC on 3/16.

Strange that it left China on 3/11 at 6AM and arrived in Alaska on 3/10 at 9PM

I'm in the same situation you are and definitely freaking out.

In an attempt to remain calm, however, I think back to my iPhone 4 preorder. Mine was half way across the country the day before but over night it not only landed in my area early in the morning, but made it on a truck to my local FedEx, AND managed to make it on the truck.

Hang in there :)

Mine has been in Newark since 7 am, but has yet to being to move toward DC. Delivery is due tomorrow!
 
It finally shipped from Kentucky yesterday at 1:18pm and according to UPS it is on the truck out for delivery. Im so excited!!! Im gonna be the crazy person watching out the window until it comes. lol:D

Delivery Exception - Future Delivery Requested

Hey all,

I just checked my tracking info, and it says it went out on the truck for delivery, and then an hour later I see the status "Delivery exception
Future delivery requested".

Does this mean they're not going to deliver it today??????

:(
 
Did not notice this till now but my order with two shipped on separate dates ? and is on two different delivery runs :(
