Looks like I'll have mine Monday or Tuesday.

Yeah Mine was shipped on the 9th and it does say "Future delivery requested", but the estimated delivery date is "Mar 12, 2012 by 3:00 PM" like yours. I ordered it as soon as the Apple Store came back online on Wednesday.

I seriously doubt I'll have it before Friday though.

Couldn't I just call FedEx with my uncle in the line, and tell them he is Apple to tell them to lift the future delivery request?

I really don't see any issue with them not believing me.

Just got my shipment notification today. Originating in Ontario, California via FedEx. Mine also says Priority Overnight/Indirect, future delivery requested for the 16th.

Mine shipped today, but it was originally set to ship by March 19th! ETA is March 16th.

It is being shipped by UPS, though. What's up with that?

I received a "shipped" email on March 11, 8:31 PM CST. ETA March 16 by FedEx. I'm getting a black 16gb wifi+4g AT&T.

Now I guess I have to wait while my iPad sits and waits while in the US.

My guess is a lot... I figure anyone that ordered on the 7th or maybe in the early morning hours on the 8th is scheduled to ship Friday the 16. It is however annoying to know that your cool new toy is sitting in a warehouse somewhere being held because heaven forbid Apple let you have it early.

I'm in the same boat. I'm not too concerned about it. Assuming it's sitting in some warehouse close by.

I don't know why everyone is so anxious to order online and receive their iPad on Friday while relaxing in front of the TV. So much more exciting to go to the Apple store Thursday afternoon and sleep outside in the snow all night, only to be awakened by an armada of scalpers cutting in line just in front of you, so that your first choice of model and color runs out before they get to you.
