+1. Hopefully we'll see those features implemented on the next generation of iPod touches.
Although reading other comments wishing for a 149$ iPod touch at 16 gb seems highly unlikely. Even an 8gb at that price range seems unlikely. Just my opinion on the matter though.
I'm hoping for a $229/$249 for 16GB/32GB.
My guess is that it's more likely to have 2 cameras than having a 16GB 4th gen.The price will probably be $299 for a 32GB,but if much of the iPhone features are in ,that's a great upgrade.![]()
$299 is the current price for the 32 GB, if they keep the same prices, they won't lose any customers (especially when the new model comes with improved and new/more features).
My advice is just to keep saving money while you still can. Hell I even paid 400 EUROS for a 16GB 1st generation, so really, consider this cheap. Besides, the iPod touch is worth every cent when you take good care of it.

I know that.
Ok, im going to explain this s-l-o-w-l-y. The people that might be willing to buy their kids iPod Touch 4G's might not want to have to spend $300 in order to be able to upgrade. Those that would have bought one for $249 or something lower, probably have kids that already have 3G's so they wont buy.

I think I'm looking forward to this too much

Not all kids are spoiled. The sales wont make a difference, maybe $10 or something, but not enough to matter.s-l-o-w-l-y, that wasn't necessary.
Kids are spoiled these days, they get what they want or they either work for it themselves or the parents wait with the purchase till Christmas. And its because of Christmas that plenty of kids/people ask for a new iPod. Why with Christmas? Because stores like Best Buy, Mediamarkt and other big media stores have Christmas sales. Which makes it even more reasonable for Apple to keep the prices the same (ofcourse I wouldn't mind if they lower the price a bit and like flytrumpet, get rid of the 8GB and replace it with the 16GB instead). So again, I highly doubt that Apple will lose any customers if the prices stay the same.
Not me.Or, some kids work earn half of it, and parents pay the rest. That's how my parents roll, and they are chinese![]()
They are going to lose some customers if they have a baseline 4G for $299, they might not think so, and you might not think so but they will. $299 is alot for one present, not all kids are spoiled.I would suggest you just accept the fact that there won't be a $199-$249 4G to avoid being disapointed and mad comes release day. It'll be at least $299,if not more for the 32 4G.I know this might suck, but I'm pretty sure Apple doesn't care about the $50 difference you suggest. They know people will buy it anyway.Don't get me wrong,I would love a 16GB 4G for $199-$249,but it won't happen.
I think they care more about not making the iPhone 4 buyers angry that the touch is close to it,but much cheaper...
