We will definately still see the base model, I don't think Apple would raise the price on a base model, but it could be possible since they raised the price on the New MacBook Pro and Mac mini by $100, but who knows. I think these should be the new prices:

$199 - $16GB model $279 32GB Model $379 64GB Model

I know im being a hypocrite, but there is NOT going to be a $199!

The most realistic expectations, based of iPhone lines and iPod touch lines is the following... :cool:

16GB - New design, same internals as 3G - $199
32GB - New design, 512 RAM, Open GL, Retina, front camera - $299
64GB - New design, 512 RAM, Open GL, Retina, front camera - $399

If Apple was to be smart of once, they would do the follow :D

16GB - New design, same internals as 3G - $199
32GB - New design, 512 RAM, Open GL, Retina, front camera, Gyro - $299
64GB - New design, 512 RAM, Open GL, Retina, front & back camera, Gyro, Microphone - $399

Its cool. Now im not so confident about a 16GB 4G for $199, but a guy can dream right? Im hoping for a $229/$249 16GB 4G now. Heck, i would even be fine with an 8GB..... not really. If the baseline is $299, i guess ill have to get less accesories. :( But i think i might just get a BSE, i would say bodyguardz but BSE is only $7.99. How its not popular is beyond me.

Hmmmmmmm.... Open GL? There will almost definitely be a Gyro, and a front camera, and if they have a front camera, they should have a back camera. I will be usin' the back one alot more. What exactly does RAM do?

im lucky because my birthday is in october so my parents always get me the new ipod touch that came out in september. get the rebel touch case from switcheasy. it comes with screen protectors a cleaning cloth nad a awesome case. its 29.99 but worth it.

Thats only if they decide to make one for the 4G.

Homework? I'm sorry it's JULY = SUMMER VACATION!

RAM = Random access memory, the more the faster the device. iPhone 3GS has 256MB, so did the iPod Touch 3G. iPhone 4 has 512, so it's tradition for iPod Touch 4G to have 512 as well.

Open GL - Graphics, and new graphics chip in the iPhone 3GS + 4 and in the iPod Touch 3G.

I have summer homework for High Ability classes.

Hmmmm... What about Ghz?
 
I think if Apple were going to update the Touch it'd be either during or after September, as Apple's special event then is usually music-themed, rather than Mac or tablet/phone themed :p
