Freakin' out

So I've been waiting for a new MBP to replace my four-year-old Vaio. I've been following these threads for the past several weeks, and the obsession is rubbing off and creeping into my pre-release day dreams.

Last week, I dreamt that that Apple unveiled its new line of egregiously hideous "designer" MacBook Airs, which were covered in some sort of fabric. There was also another dream of a cheesy keyboard swap for existing MBPs.

This week, I dreamt that the new MBP was released, and it was shiny and black and glorious, but it had a screen that flipped around, making it into a tablet. I don't know why I'd conceive such a thing.

Disappointment has seeped into my subconscious. Has anyone else been having dreams like this?

Yep, there was this other bloke who also said that he had a dream about updated MBP's.

I will say the same to you, as I did to him: You are in dire need of a hobby.
I am not being sarcastic, but even though people are debating rather harshly about these things at times, the moment you dream about them is the moment you need to fill your life with more important stuff.
 
although were all disapointed the new Mbp's didn't come out today, its pretty safe to say that expectations for the upcoming event are pretty high.
Now imagine if the mbp's aren't released the 26'th. Think of the massive, widespread dissapointment. C'mon apple! Give us something awesome!

Frankly, I think quite a lot of people will move on and buy something as un-Apple as possible.

Edit: Some seem to be on the move already.
 
I was about to buy a MBP today.. however, someone told me that a newer one is coming out.. so I'm thinking of waiting till the end of Feb.. and maybe I'll get lucky.. =\ because I do need one asap.. or soon.. :eek:

are you sure? So far there's still only one posted rumour about that event and it was weeks ago and there's been not a single fact since. I'm not sure there's going to be one.
 
What makes me really angry is that the time that I won't be able to wait anymore is dangerously approaching. Then I will be "forced" to buy the current model at the ridiculous price of 2000 euros! :mad::(

Please :apple: gives us new MBPs next week!
 
I think I might just go w/ a MB if apple won't really a mbp next week. Save some money then get the "real" update in the summer
 
So how actually did you guys predict a price drop in shuffle? I didn't get that when I was reading the forums at 3:30 when the Apple store just closed on my PSP. You guys predicted even the amount right even before the shop opened! Im surprised. :eek:

It was "Stella" who actually got it right. :(

I didn't see Stella's post. Which number post was it?

I saw jonnos post though. Not sure how he found out, maybe just searching the Apple Store? When I saw his post (#665) I checked the store, the main page had the Shuffles still at $79, but when you clicked on the link to go to the Shuffle page they were listed at $49. This all was before the store went down.

The reason people "got it right", was because the store went down twice. First it went down, then it came back, then down again for a long time.

I don't believe so, are you saying you know when the MBP will be released? I don't think you do. This thread is relevant 24/7 because we do not know the hour nor the day that Apple will release the MBP. So tecnically tonight could be the night before the release or next Wensday morning might be the release time. Correct me if I'm wrong but I do not see a 'Tuesday' in the thread title. It reads 'The Night/Day Before Thread' not 'The Night/Day Before Tuesday Thread'. Regards
 
I wasn't serious... I love these threads! I too am addicted to looking for news on the upcoming MBP. I too will buy when released :D I'm one of you! ;)

Iv been experience pretty bad mood swings, anyone would think its my time of the month..LOOK WHAT STEVE IS DOING TO ME!

To be perfectly honest, this is the thing I'm looking forward to the most. After using the MB and new iMac keyboard the MBP's just leaves me wanting more.

I'm now THIS close to saying to hell with the MBP line and just getting an MB, the price difference is hard to justify for playing games.

A couple:
1. I saw an Engadget story speculating
2. The UK got the Shuffle price reduction on Monday
