The Night/Day Before Thread! [MacBookPro]

N.Y. announcement???

Has anyone heard anymore about a N.Y. show or announcement this week or next? How is the press supposed to cover it if no one is invited. I have allready called Apple Media and press dept this mornig trying to find out where to get my press pass for New York if it is happening, I just dont see how they are going to fill a huge convention center or a hotels confrence room if they do not let any of us know about it. I am with M.N.M "Mac Notebook Magazine" so I left a message and I guess we will see. I hope I can go I will pay to cover it for all of us at MacRumors. Anyone have any ideas or hear anything about it let me know, Tickets to NY could be sold for that day allready . thanks
 
Did we all forget about this thread, or have too many others popped up?

Surely today is the day this thread should be revived? :D

Lets hope that rumor of new MBPs being shipped midweek is true! lets all channel our positive thoughts into making it happen! lol

Hoping for an update tomorrow to =) No one forgot about this thread, you revived it just at the right time.

'Once upon a time there were two parents who were about to have a baby together. The soon to be dad was a nice shiny MBP, all clean and looking good but he was getting old and aging fast and was quite slow and his body was wining down. His wife was a delicate little MacBook, she got worked up over nothing, most of the time, just like all little lady MacBook's. In the land of Apple, there was excitement because this well known couple were going to be proud parents of a new machine. They chose not to find out the gender of their child. Daddy MBP was hoping for a new son just like him but all new, revived, refreshed and perhaps, a new gene expressed that he hasn't seen before. Mummy MacBook was hoping for a little daughter MacBook, who she could customize just the way she liked it, dress her with little famine accessories etc. Finally the day of the birth arrival came, mummy MacBook was taken to hospital and her labor process began, she was in pain but very excited, they were both so excited to see what their new child would look like. In the land of Apple it was sometimes hard to tell what the child may be as they usually looked very similar and then it happened. Mummy MacBook pushed out the little new addition to the family. The doctor was trying to determine what it was and mummy Macbook was also trying to find out to, when all of the sudden Daddy MacBookPro piped up loudly: 'ISN'T IT OBVIOUS ITS A MACBOOKPRO, IT HAS BALLS unlike MacBooks dear'! The End.

Just a little bit of a story I came up with, maybe we can relate ;)

Did I promise to bring the coffee or the doughnuts? I don't remember. I'm pretty sure it's MB or MBP tomorrow, I hope for the MBP, but I've been crushed like a bug so many times I'm not sure I want to think about it.

Jeez, I just realised something. Apple is going to get rich off their asses from us. I mean, we have hundreds, maybe thousands of people waiting for the new revisions to come out, to pull the trigger on a purchase. I feel like I'm being taken advantage of :confused:.

Oh well, I want my damn MBP though.
 
And so again it's a night before a tuesday. I look out and see the darkness of the last lonely night without a Mac arising (I live in germany) - tomorrow is the day.

As BP said once "be prepared" - I readied my credit card - made sure I have a computer at hand at work tomorrow between 1400 and 1500 CET.

Anyone changed his calender from "monday, tuesday, wednesday, ... " to "monday, :apple:day, wednesday, ..."?

Nice bedtime story. I sure will think about this when i go to bed tonight and hope to see some balls tomorrow!

Does anyone know around what time they usually shut down Apple store site for update? Don't want to stay up all night keep hitting refresh.;)
 
heh... after waiting for like three months i just bought a mac mini to replace my old imac g5 last tuesday while i wait for the new MBP to come out... so obviously NOW they will come out.. just one week after i got the mini... :rolleyes:

Here in Miami, the store goes down around 6:30 AM. I think this is considered Eastern Time.
