I do think that posts like this, are much more entertaining if you imagine the Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons is reading it out
"worst Xmas special evah"
etc

Hey, it could have been worse. I could have said "worst Xmas special evah." ;)

What's the deal with the Doctor saying he's 903 years old? During the other Doctor Who episode with Clive Swift (Revelation of the Daleks), he said something to Peri about being a "900 year old Time Lord". (Er, at least I think that was Revelation of the Daleks.) He's a lot more than 3 years older since then...maybe 900 is the Time Lord equivalent of humans claiming to be 29 long past the point when that was true.... ;)

Either that or 1 Timelord year is equivalent to 42 human years... ;)

This has come up many times before. For an interesting read, check out this link.

Cool, thanks for that! Always nice to see a sneak peak of what's coming. Now let's just hope The Christmas Special isn't indicative of what we can expect in Season 4. :(

i am quite enjoying Torchwood series 2 so far

(although a lot of that does comes from pointing at the screen and say "oh i know where that is!")

Haha, that would make it extra cool I suppose. ;) I'm actually surprisingly enjoying Season 2 so far as well. Season 1 was like watching a car accident at times, when it was so bad you just couldn't look away, but I have been pleasantly surprised so far with this season - looking forward to seeing how things develop, especially with respect to Martha's involvement and the continuation of the Sleeper story.

I wonder when Martha Rose and Donna meet, if they will do the whole comparing what they've seen with the doctor. I suspect rose will win, She did defeat the Daleks twice and Cybermen but Martha did travel the earth for a year telling everyone who the Doctor was and get basically kill off one of the last time lords.. and Donna shouted at a big spider...

The monsters never win in Doctor Who.

Great spinoff. I am hoping Star Trek will have a similarly conceived spin-off series with Bette Midler as the Captain.

You mean a sc-fi /show tunes cross over

available in the bargain bin of all good music retailers now:eek:

wasn't to keen on last nights ep4
the monster was rubbish
and if i want to hear Welsh people shouting & swearing at each other i can go in to the city centre on a Saturday night;)
few good one liners though

next weeks looks much better

Haha, I like how this has spun into the "Semi-Official Torchwood Thread Until Doctor Who Comes Back" thread. :p ;) :D

In all seriousness, Season 2 so far has been better than all of Season 1 combined in my opinion. Still not a great show, but definitely better now in its second season...

FYI

Torchwood eps 5 "Adam" & 6 "Reset" will both be shown next Wednesday (13th) the latter on BBC3
"Reset" is the first episode to feature Martha Jones;)

Good to know, thanks for the head's up.

So, with the whole "Sleeper Agent" thing, who wants to bet that the storyline comes back near the end of the season again and one of the Torchwood crew turns out to be one of them! :D

Im trying to stay as spoiler free as I can but i have seen things indicating that something pretty big will happen in "Reset"

Good to know, I'll look forward to it!

Heh, you'd never hear me say that last year. I watched Torchwood but found it amusingly not good. :p ;) As I said though, I am pleasantly surprised so far this year (not having seen episode 4 yet...)

Torchwood ep 5 "Adam" this week
thought that was pretty good

although i do get the feeling that the writer is familiar with the work of Phillip k Dick!
( and loads of other sc-fi stories i could name)

haven't watched ep 6 yet
