Harry, Harry Kewell
Harry..... Harry Kewelllll
I notice Harry has had a haircut prior to this World Cup – I suppose he knew he could get away with the daft sumo look when he was surrounded by Spaniards, but he probably realised his Australian team mates would be a little less forgiving... :D

YEEEE-BLOODY-HAAAAA!!!!!!!

Waltzing Matilda, Advance Australia Fair, Beneath the southern cross I stand, a sprig of wattle in my hand.

YOU LITTLE RIPPER!!!!

So anyway, Simunic managed to get three yellow cards.
10 v 9 at the end of the game.
A goal at the end that may or may not have been ours.

Kewell finds the back of the net.
I think I saw Guus smile for a fleeting instant (not really surprising, that draw just earned him an AUD$850,000 bonus - money well spent in my opinion)

Right, time for some breakfast.... what a match!!!

He could've scored a thousand goals and still copped a massive ribbing from his teammates with that ridiculous hair cut.

What an amazing, amazing game. 3 yellow cards, one guy punches the ball in the air in the box TWICE, and Aussies qualify. Awesome. Its what the WC is all about. :) :D I love it.

England will win this Sunday.

I doubt whether it'll be a convincing win - Equador are a good team. England will do just enough, and make their lives harder than it should be - as usual :-D

Simic got 3 yellow cards in one match, has that ever happened before?

I can accept Poll not seeing a handball but what about when Viduka was wrestled to the ground in the box?

How can a player get 3 yellow cards? 2 yellows and they are off.

They can if the referee gives a player a secondyellow, but forgets he's already given him the first one. ;)

I've seen it happen before a couple of times. Blackburn's Barry Ferguson was one player it happened to, if I remember rightly – I can't recall the referee concerned, though.

Yeah, my favorite part was the 3 yellow cards... ;) :D

I think I'll watch the Australia match again tonite when it's on replay... hell of an amusing match...

is that a world cup record?

(it actually seems like a better approach. let the ref decide whether the second yellow merits an ejection. would have kept pope in the U.S.-Italy game)

The Brazilians sure now how to shake that booty. I was at "the Brazilian World Cup location in Oslo" for the second half of the game, after I missed my London flight today, and they know how to put up a good party, samba and booty shaking, that's for sure.

Since March apparently. Though I can say you're better at soccer than you are baseball.:p

EDIT - Here's what your hat looks like if you care.

Well I'll be damned....

Ah well, at least we don't call a domestic competition a "World Series."
And no, I don't care if the Blue Jays are from Toronto.
Sorry, but baseball bores me to tears. And I find cricket interesting so that doesn't speak too highly about baseball...
Did you know that the first international cricket matches were played between the US and England? Bet ya didn't.

Sorry to hear you missed your flight. Does this mean you won't get to take in the London bash?

And speaking of "records" in an earlier post in here, congratulations to Ronaldo are due today. He tied Gerd Mueller for the all time most goals ever scored in World Cup competition (14).

And in other news, Ronaldo also set a new World Cup record for eating an entire chocolate cake in one sitting.
