The "Preparing for shipment" Thread

Go to UPS Tracking, click "Track by Reference" on the left side, and then put in either your 10 digit phone number with no spaces or dashes or your Apple order number into the Shipment Reference box. That should get you some type of tracking number provided it's been boxed up and ready to go.
Mine showed preparing for shipment this morning.
Ordered through apple at 1:30am PST. 32GB Black.

Important Note When Looking up Tracking info on UPS
I appreciate the user who posted the tip, and after fooling around with UPS I found out a small issue. Like others I ordered phones from a sperate phone number and not my own. For the UPS Track by Reference trick to work you need to put in the phone number UNDER BILLING INFORMATION .
After trying numerous times to lookup the two iPhone 5s I ordered, I finally put in my own phone number (same # under Apple's billing info) and that worked like a charm!
Hope this helps anybody having an issue looking up their phone.
P.S. My phone has been Prepared for Shipment since early this morning, so if you just got your status upgraded, don't freak out if it's not coming up.

Had ordered 6 phones and 3 have UPS tracking numbers already. I expect will see status chane to shipped on Sunday.

Just like the 4 and 4S is does not matter what it shows as they all arrive the same day. I guess if you need something to do. . . .
I can't get my phone number or order number to work on UPS. Just says it cant find anything. I put it into a universal tracking site and that brought up nothing either.

Well i'm in the UK. Maybe that is something to do with it. I remember tracking with Syncreon before.
I don't think Apple sends iPhones with Syncreon, the first I heard of them was with my iPad this year.
What is so terrible? Only 1 phone was for me. The others were for friends who are 15 year att customers are who had an iphone 4 and were all eligible for a fully subsidized upgrade purchase since their contracts were up. They just gave me their information and I placed their orders under their names and accounts which they are entitled to purchase just like you or I.
I just happen to ALWAYS be able to get my orders through and ALWAYS receive them on launch day so they asked me if I could place their orders too. As a friend I just helped them out.

Oh and 3 of the phones have departed china today per ups reference tracking
