These are going to be very interesting. I just couldn't bring myself to drop such a sum of money on a beta product so I am really looking forward to the in-depth reviews and unboxings. its impressive for lots of reasons but it also has a lot of flaws, weight, cost, and battery life being the main ones for me.

I have seen a lot of people on this forum with buyers remorse over the years at dropping so much money on products. Some people will have used a credit card or loan to buy this thing so it will be interesting if they can get genuine value out of it day to day. Or whether its just an expensive toy.

Either way its exiting, and from a visual design perspective I think it looks stunning.

T minus 2 hours till they drop

Anyone nervous?

So basically these are going to be reviews these people did weeks ago but due to NDA's are only now allowed to release their video because Mr. Brownlee gives it away in the first few seconds of the video by referring to the box he has as one that buyers would most likely receive once they get their VP.

After watching the video review from The Verge, I'm quite happy not to have shelled out for v1. Looks like it might be a while before it's a very attractive product for the masses.

I was really hoping they focused on the 3D film aspect more, but I understand they were just trying to cover the overall feel of the device. The reviews still have not pushed me one way or the other. I am set to pick it up Friday, and that will start the 14 day trial period.

I'd absolutely love to mess with one but that's because I adore gadgets and this seems like a really fun one. I hope there is enough runway for the product to develop into something more easily accessible to the masses. V1 certainly seems 100% for the enthusiasts and developers.

Without a doubt. I have always considered myself an enthusiasts, so I couldn't pass this up.

The reviews confirmed my use cases for Apple Vision Pro. Tbqh it looks better than I expected.

Yeah - it looks exactly like what I wanted. My Mac in AR for Xcode, plus unlimited secondary visionOS windows, which I can also control via my mac keyboard/mouse/trackpad.

I watched the verge review, it was great, but I can't help but think Nilay can't empathize with anyone outside of his own situation - most people don't work as Editor in Chief of a tech news website, where they are constantly interacting with people as their entire job. Of course he would choose "reality" - he would be taking the thing on/off constantly to talk to people.

As someone who works remote - this is the perfect device for my situation - I can bring my windows into the laundry room and fold laundry, or be cooking lunch while listening into a meeting, and still respond to things on slack. And at my desk I'm not limited by the physical space/layout of things.

Yeah, really gives me nothing new and no feeling of spending so much money for something that i can do more efficient on my laptop.

Yes its new, yes it will be awesome for another week to have your presentation pinned to your wall, but then the effect is gone and you will feel, that a mouse and a real keyboard are much more efficient to use.

There is absolutly no need, no killer feature and no new usecase to vr/spatial. Now one has found one yet and apple seems to be searching but not finding as well.
