I expected my 15/2.6/1tb/750 to ship and possibly arrive by the 26th.

Well yesterday when it still was processing I cancelled my order and replaced my order.

I leave for vacation Monday morning till the 7th. So I figured I'll move its ship date back. Maybe someone else's will ship faster.

Now my estimated arrival is the 4th-6th.

Maybe i'll bump it again so it will be here on 7th.

I ordered my BTO immediately following the event and it finally went to "Preparing for Shipment" a few minutes ago.

It has shipped and I have tracking. My order was at "Preparing for Shipment" for about 12 hours before it shipped.

My 15" 2.6Ghz 16GB 512GB has just changed from Processing to Preparing for Shipment. Ordered late on 10/23, Western Canada.

That's the very reason I added a Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter in to my BTO. I'll probably only use it like 5 times over the ownership of my notebook.

In less than 24 hours, my order has been changed from processing, preparing to shipment, and shipped. Is this real? I mean that's just so quick compared to many of people here who have been waiting for days to get their status changed. Is there anything I should be suspicious of?

Ooooo ooo oooo! Just changed to Shipped. I ordered 13/2.6/16/512 Wednesday night western Canada. It changed to preparing early morning today and it went to shipped a few mins ago. Through Universal Piece of *****.... I mean UPS.

Yes, it's a BTO. I ordered it about the midnight, and when I got up next morning, the status already changed to preparing for shipment, and I thought that's a little too quick, don't you think?

I just hope that one I will be receiving is not someone who recently cancelled. I hope it's a brand new unit.

That reminds me...am I better off getting a Thunderbolt to Firewire (does that exist?) or Thunderbolt to Ethernet? I already have a USB to Ethernet adapter but not sure if it's gigabit.

Did you get a call from your credit card company to authorise the purchase? Had it with my last two iPhones.

UK. Ordered a 2.4 as soon as the store went live but cancelled the next day and reordered the 2.6. Also now preparing for dispatch

FedEx says "In transit" now, but I don't see any outbound flights. Any idea where it could be heading?

Literally 5 minutes after logging in to check the status and posting here I got an email saying it's now been dispatched.

I have ordered my 2.6/16GB/512 on Wed 23 Oct around 11am CET (2am PDT, so ~14 hours after the event) to the Netherlands.
Status is still "Processing items" and delivers 30 Oct - 01 Nov.

I have just got the confirmation that it was shipped through UPS. Estimated delivery from the Store web site: 1 Nov. No tracking number yet, though.

Just called my credit card provider and they approved the transaction when I ordered, so no hold up there!

Just waiting on Apple. Maybe the educational discount is delaying it.

You are lucky guys, I ordered the "standard" high-end 15", but with a US keyboard layout 30 minutes after the store went life after the keynote. I am in Germany and got prepared for shipping 12 hours ago but still not dispatched.

Maybe edu discount playing a role?

Within 5 minutes of the store coming back after the keynote my machine was ordered.

Mine is with an edu discount as well (Netherlands here), and I haven't noticed a delay.
I had the "Preparing for shipping" status for around 22-23 hours before it was shipped. So yours should be shipped soon.
