How much is this going to affect the delivery date?

Mine's been sitting in Boston since early Saturday morning. Called Fedex and they said that the package is sitting inside a container than can only be opened after Monday.

Hopefully I'll get it tomorrow morning.

WTH!!! Do these people not realize I've been waiting since ****** February!?!? Honestly, if this does not get delivered by Wednesday, I'm going to be pissed because that means I'll have to wait an extra week.

Looks like mine is stuck in customs too, supposed to get here Wednesday, no biggie if it doesn't, I have lots of good things to keep me busy...;-)

Unfortunately mine is also having clearance issues. I called Apple as well and they told me that it's possible Apple could deny clearance, but more than likely will not unless they feel the units are or could be damaged. If they are denied they will re-ship with expedited shipping. Ugh come on APPLE!!!

Still sitting in China, and I'm sure there will be a clearance delay, pretty sure there always is when I order something Apple that ships from China.

Just my luck. How can't apple ensure their items clear customs. Anyway, I can't do anything about it so I'll just remain hopeful.

China - South Korea - Kazakhstan - Germany

That's where my macbook has been so far. World tour before spending the rest of its life mostly sitting in my living room

Your MB has seen more action than some people in their entire lives. What a hoe!:D

All of mine in the past have come from China. I think they are manufactured in China. In the US, it has been my experience, that they usually arrive a little earlier than the estimated delivery date, but I don't know about London.
Thanks, if my order says estimate delivery between the 31st October (Thusday) and the 4th November (Monday)... If I'm lucky I'll get it for the weekend and I'll be able to set it up for work!

So far it seems the route to London is China-Kazakistan-Germany and then UK. The good news is that's 8am in Shanghai so maybe in few hours my rMBP could be ship!!

Oh no, I hope mine isn't damaged :(

This is probably FedEx's fault. They are the customs broker and take care of all the brokerage paperwork for the shipper (Apple.) I bet they screwed up and didn't input a tariff classification code properly or something on your computer.

----------

Like I wrote about 4 posts up, customs has to contact Apple to get the clarification needed. Which means, customs has to be open to make the call and Apple has to be open to receive it. So I'm assuming this shipment is overnighting, at least, in Memphis...

The 2:00 thing in Japan is because the flight left at 2:00PM and then flew west, so it landed prior to departing. It actually landed and got held up in customs before it even left. If only Apple's paper-pushers were as industrious.

Customs couldn't care less about a package not having a proper tariff classification number / paperwork. FedEx is the broker so they would be the ones who need to fix the issue, not customs.

Mine has been dormant in Shanghai since late Friday. They must have some crazy plans to have it delivered to me in Pennsylvania by Wednesday.

Is it with Fedex? It might catch a ride on fedex 90 tomorrow and be at your doorstep Tuesday.
