Glad to hear you almost have it! :)

woohoo!!! It's here! Just did the setup and it's awesome.

It's weird though - I've waited so long for it to get here and while I'm excited, it just has not set in yet. Once I saw the homepage, I thought, that's it???
I have my Dell(typing from it right now) and MBP next to each other and the Dell screen is really bright and the MB screen is a bit greenish - I'm hoping that's just due to the wallpaper and I don't have one of the yellow screens.

This is awesome! I don't yet notice the retina whatever, but maybe in a week I'll be ready to dropkick my dell out the window.

I was at the Apple store last night playing with the rMBP for a good two hours. The Retina effect is certainly the most awesome your first time experiencing it, but it's definitely an amazing display.

luckily i was able to pick up tonight, so it is now in hand, just waiting for my wife to care enough to open it

You're right - I just stepped out and as I walked back in, I could see the brightness and crispness in the retina. Truth be told, my current dell is pretty badass in the screen department.

It is not the piece of ****** I felt it was - I might just spring the $50 for the new cover.

----------

My only complaint with MB is it's big! I'm wondering if 13 might be a good size because this almost feels like too much laptop.

In terms of power, is there a 13" that can go toe to toe with this one? I have the 2.6/16/1tb?

----------

this screen is so sharp it's blinding.

It is big, isn't it. You can get 16GB RAM and a 1TB SSD on the 13-inch, but it won't have a quad-core CPU or a dGPU. But it'll still be plenty fast. The 15-inch has more power than most people need. Do you do some hardcore video editing or something that requires a quad-core?

The 15" really is the ultimate laptop money can buy. But the 13" is a great option, too.

The Retina display is indeed awesome. And it's more than just Retina, it's an IPS panel. Everything about it is great.

Ooooooo, tomorrow might now be a possibility. Should hit the depot in plenty of time to get loaded into the delivery truck.

Thats a bit of an effing joke!

I am in Oxford and just got mine at work. Now I need to kill 8 hoursbefore I can go home to turn it on!

Just got mine in the store last night, so happy with it! Screen is really nice, so much clearer than my old 17" screen. Can't wait to get her set up and make her my primary computer!

you have my sympathy. My girlfriends rMBP was on the same planes, (UPS said it should come on monday) but we got it yesterday! (but Graz/Austria is a bit smaller than london ^^)

Jealous. Mines not even out for delivery yet.

-MM.

Mine didn't say out for delivery, but apparently it was. If you call UPS, they have a more updated tracker - although they say ups.com is most updated.

You should have yours soon, but I do live 5 minutes from the warehouse.
