Just left Sennan, JP via Kensai Intl presumably on FedEx#28 to Anchorage Intl or hopefully on FedEx#60 to Memphis. My assumption is that, if it goes to Anchorage, it will continue on to Memphis on FedEx#??. Then to the local distro hub in Florida.

Expected delivery still scheduled for Tuesday Nov 5th. Let's hope for an early delivery.

Leaving on Saturday and getting to AK/TN on Friday. Gotta love the international date line. Groundhog day!

mine is on the same flight yours is on :D

Ordered on the 29th. I live in uk and it's from china. So far it's gone from china to South Korea to Kazakhstan. Hopefully it's coming to me next?

What a way to spend the day!

As a new mac user, I not only need to learn the basics of the OS, but I need to get my system prepped for work next week. This means getting Parallels, Windows, Office, and all my standard windows stuff.

The things people take for granted....

I had to look up how to delete because mac's delete function is not like windows. Also, home and end buttons don't exist in macs. haha

Good thing I have my windows installation set up because I have a couple technical presentations to give next week and it will be funny if I'm trying to show people how to use a multimillion dollar system, yet I can't copy a paragraph.

Damn, this laptop is beautiful. I was going to pick up the new iPad today but figures I should give it time. Let the mac-ness soak in first. :D

I'm gonna hold off on this iPad...I have the retina iPad and I hardly use it when I have my laptop handy. Only time I really used it this year was the past 2 weeks when I was without a laptop

Oh yea? I have a 16G iPad 2 and use mine daily. I was anxious to replace it due to the lack of space, but with the new mac and Time Capsule, I may be able to hold off a bit because I'll have a way to access my files when I'm away from home.

Mine didn't say out for delivery, but apparently it was. If you call UPS, they have a more updated tracker - although they say ups.com is most updated.

You should have yours soon, but I do live 5 minutes from the warehouse.

It's here! About 15 minutes before I have to leave the house!

(Now if only my internet was working at home...)

-MM.

Yeah, get used to the Mac first. Have fun learning everything.

My BTO 13" was ordered on the 26th and I'm still waiting for it to arrive. To all who placed an order (BTO) on the 26th as well: what's your current status?

My 2.3Ghz/16GB/1TB/750M BTO is currently in Memphis. Delivery date to me in NYC is tomorrow by 8pm. Luckily my doorman will sign for it so don't have to worrk about a missed delivery!

My Macbook arrived this afternoon (11/1/2013). Typing on it now :D

Checked panel and it's a LG. Did test for yellow screen but my eyes don't see anything wrong (although my eyesight isn't the greatest and I wear glasses). Also ran image retention test and did not see any ghosting.

Looked over the entire Macbook and fit and finish also seem fine.

Hopefully it's a keeper in the long run (but I have Applecare should things go awry).

Good luck to everyone else!:apple:

^BTO means built to order. As in one you picked out from the online store, not from the physical store. The Apple Stores only have specific models available. If you want more options, such as the 1tb SSD or 2.6ghz CPU, you need to special order it online, the BTO option.

Mine was in shanghai yesterday. since then it has gone from there to sennan-shi, japan, anchorage, and now tennessee. Delivering to Atlanta. Scheduled to arrive tuesday, november 5th. Although if it goes to a facility close enough on monday, hopefully I can just drive and pick it up.

15"/2.6/512GB ordered on Thursday night, shipped on Saturday at 11am, to Northern California on Fedex.

Expected delivery, Wednesday 11/6!

The long wait starts!

You're going to love that beast - it's very similar to mine except I maxed out the HD.

I'm not sure why this is because I'm coming from a Dell studio 16, but the mac screen feels a lot larger. I have both laptops side by side and maybe it's the crispness of the screen or the way menu bar disappears into the background, but I feel as if I have so much more screen space on the mac. I had mine set to 'looks like 1680 x 1050', but just changed to 1920x1200 as my dell is set to 1920x1020 - I kid you not, it feels like I've got a 25" monitor.

If the 13" came with all the bells and whistles as the 15, I might even consider getting it for portability.

No update in a while - been like this since 8am friday ( uk time )
