I'm just getting it because... since I've always wondered how this game would play on a high end PC when I was enjoying it on the ps3 and ps4. Since I am a photographer, I also like what they did on the remake on focal lengths and separation. Probably won't notice it while playing the game... but it was noticeable to me on the remake trailer vid. I guess it's also good to have the game in my steam library since I can't find my game disc... and I don't have a PlayStation to play it on.

Yeah that looks pretty cool but I wouldn’t do it for several reasons. It adds to the cost of the console. You could break something by accident. The thermal compound is a Sony first which is “liquid metal” and I have yet to have a Sony console totally die on me. In fact I stoll have a PS2 Slim purchased in 2005 running as well as a PS3 Slim from 2008 and two PS4’s a Slim and Pro.

got the email 10am yesterday from worten, PS5 on sale online from 11am. last time this happened they only had an expensive bundle which I didnt buy then regretted it, although it was too much.
clicked on it at 11am. nothing available. 1101,1102,1103....in stock. €509 for digital model. added to my basket. asked me to log in. fine. asked me did I want to add this purchase to my worten card. do I want that? guess so. yes. logs in again.
we have just sold that last of this item, please remove from your basket
so admits defeat and spends €730 for disc machine, horizon, gta, second controller, €50 voucher. 1 day delivery which im sure will be at least a couple.

Back in my day a year after a console was released it was easy to buy them in stores!
Yes and what's even crazier are the prices for older consoles. Places like Amazon, Gamestop and Walmart are selling older consoles for close to the original MSRP.
It’s been that way for while.
The problem is/was, the pandemic forced people into their homes more often, and there was an influx of people not able to obtain a PS5/Series X, so consumers were purchasing older GEN consoles for their household, thus demand for let’s say an Xbox 360 is now worth ~$65-$85 more than what it was two years ago.
It’s the exact same scenario-carbon copy for the used vehicle market.

Im not interested in clubs etc - the game is just more casual 2 player games with friends (locally, not online). Nothing more really. Ideally I want the best graphics and gameplay.
Was gonna get Fifa 2022, but is it really any different to the 5 versions before it?! Also read the AI us awful in the 2022 version....

Its pretty cool alright, but slightly undone by the fact that has to have a water and power supply externally.
With those two its suddenly not that small
No doubt there will be a PS5 slim in a few years, when processors become better.
Alright I’ve put about 30 hours into Horizon Forbidden West and it is not doing it for me. Feels like a total slog and basically a rehash of the first game. Am I the only one feeling this way? I’ll finish the main story but I’m honestly tempted to just put it on easy mode and race through to move on to better things.
I find FW beautiful, though I took at least 18 months break from consoles from ps4 slim white until s+x series/ps5.

This is why I always buy disc versions of games - I sold the game on before even completing it. lol
Picked up Ghost of Tsushima instead, and find that much better!
I was enjoying it and will go back to finish it. I decided to "just see what Elden Ring is like" and haven't played anything but that for over a month. Ghost is also magnificent.
Well, one positive thing (or maybe the only positive thing) about the shortage is that the price of add-on SSDs has been going down. Let's face it, Sony cheaped out on PS5 default storage.

Sony is losing money for every PS5 they are selling. "cheaped out" is not a good description.
Is that still true? I thought they were making money on them by now or at least breaking even.
This is why I ended up getting a PS5! Haven't had anything since a PS3 sold years ago, not a huge gamer and could've managed with a PS4 but the prices I was seeing when it came out so long ago...
Signed up for the Amazon invite and very quickly got one to buy the Horizon/disc version, though I'm just selling the dl card. Worth it to me to get it so quickly when Best Buy is still doing membership only type sales drops
