Soooooooo, who's going to buy the new DualSense Edge?

I know I won't be buying one... €239.99 in Europe with VAT incl.
to compare: the normal DualSense is €69.99

I won't buy one at Sony's list price, full stop. But if it got within, say, 30% of the regular DualSense during a sale (don't laugh, Amazon often radically discounts PS stuff during holiday season or Prime Days) I would think about it. The customizable features would be nice.

The infuriating things about this, IMHO, are that Sony doesn't give PS5 console buyers a controller charging cable packed in–not great when people are excited to set up their new PS when shops are closed on a holiday or at night–and Sony is busy pushing premium accessories when consoles are still in short supply. As well, I am really reluctant to spend hundreds on an accessory with a deliberately designed limited lifespan (see: Here’s Why PS5 Joysticks Drift (and Why They’ll Only Get Worse) ).

Managed to get one from Amazon , now discover due to Sony's draconian game sharing practices you're basically limited to one ps5 per psn account

There's a form of game sharing but you have to log out etc - so I just gave the damn thing to my brother as an early xmas present . lucky boy 😂

Got a PS5, few weeks ago. It was difficult to get it but after some attempts, I managed to order one. I also bought a few games, during Black Friday.

I started Astro Playroom and I’m really enjoying it, I like what they did with the controller. Then I will play other games once I finished it.

Respectfully disagree. Xbox Game pass is great but the lack of exclusive games is a bummer for the Xbox. Also, the difference between PSN and Xbox live as a service is not as big as it use to be during the ps3 and Xbox 360 days. PSN actually has a larger community as the Playstation has more people in the ecosystem than Xbox.

Most of my gaming family and friends are on Playstation and we play Call of Duty on PS5 and PSN with no problems or issues with the network.

Agreed. I would not have guessed this either. Even today they are still not as easy as they should be to get.

What kills me right now is how much the price of the pretty much obligatory add-on SSD has dropped in the last year. Now a 2TB drive, from the same manufacturer and model line, costs what I paid for my 1TB last year. Ugh.

I have a 2TB WD SN850 (heatsink version) installed in my PS5.
When I installed (about a year ago now) it was around £350

This black Friday just gone, it dropped (albeit briefly) to £160 on eBuyer!!!!!
That was a killer deal!
I purchased another 5 units and resold them all on eBay for £220 each a week later when teh price jumped back up!

You have to keep watching the prices as they fluctuate quite drastically. Below example is just from Amazon - the prices drop and increase quite rapidly!

I finished Astro’s Playroom and got all the trophies. It was a great game, I loved it.

Now I’m on FFVII Remake, which I played on PS4 and finished after 100 hours. Let’s see how many I’ll need to get all trophies and everything.

Congrats. I have the PS5, XSX, Switch and a mid range PC (Ryzen 5 2600X / RTX 2060) and love them all, but for me, the PS5 gets the vast majority of my playtime.

I've got a switch and a PS5. The switch is just a breath of the wild machine. Will break it out in March for the new one and never turn it on again. I'm getting a new PS5 game every 4-8 weeks seems like.
