I have to admit that I don’t like to read reviews or watch trailers if I know I want to watch a movie or play a game. And with Kena, I fell in love when I saw the first trailer many years ago. Despite being cross gen (like many PS5 titles), it truly looked next gen back then, and something irrational in me told me “I have to play this game… eventually”. Guess that day has come.

I just watched a spoiler free review. It's quite "short" at 10-15hours long. This is actually good. Many open world games are too long at 40-100 hours. Half way through some of them start feeling chory and repetitive.
It’s funny, isn’t it? Because back in the day when I was younger, I really wanted the games to last as long as possible. I posted more than 100h to the original PS2 Okami. And uncountable hours to many Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest games.

However, nowadays, I know that a long game is almost certainly a guarantee that I’ll end up leaving it before ending it. So I no longer mind getting shorter games, honestly.
