I think it's even more stupid than that.

They manufacture the bands god knows where, then they ship them back to China where they are assembled and packaged.

Then they send charges to random countries in the hopes to fill preorders.
With all the cancelling and multiple late reorders it is getting harder and harder for Apple to rally estimate the demand.
 
I got Charged and my status changed to shipped on April 25th. In the email I got from apple it says Delivers 30 Apr, 2015. Is there a chance I'll get it sooner?

Yea I get their supply chain but honestly, the leather band shouldn't be an issue to manufacture.
 
I ordered a medium Blue Leather Loop band on the 11th, and I few days ago I noticed the order status change from Available June to Available May. Hopefully starts shipping some of these bad boys soon.
 
My watch shipped out this morning at 9am with TNT here is Australia. No movement on the loop yet :) here's hoping they make a butt tonne! :D
 
Keeping the mood light while waiting on my damn leather loop....I ordered a charger on Thursday, left Harrisburg, PA Friday.....I live two hours from there.....what do you think is being delivered tomorrow? What is going on with these shipping dates and times? It's like buying the gas can, filling it up at the station.....then 4-6 weeks later recieveing your porche......which if I could afford I would be late picking up......because I don't know what time it is.....because I don't have a watch.....

I don't have a watch either, so I use my iPhone until it shows up. :rolleyes:
 
Gotta say, having seen a number of photos of the watch, have warmed much more to the classic leather buckle. The extra steel attachment has the effect of making the watch look larger and more of a normal watch, so have decided to order that and let Apple decide which one I receive first.
 
Really annoying that none of these have shipped yet, I'm waiting to order one because I'm not sure if I want a light brown or stone one, and with a 180mm wrist, I'm not sure if I should get the medium or large, and I was hoping to see some pics and get some impressions of people who have them.

If anyone with a 180mm wrist has tried one on at the Apple store please let me know which one you bought.
 
Thanks all for the kind words--I really hope this means a planeful of leather loops is about to be sent out to everyone.

My wrist is about the same size and I got the medium band. When I tried the large loop at the Apple Store, it wrapped almost full around my wrist, it was way too big.
 
Just had my order change from June only delivery to May 29 to June 11 time frame. I ordered on April 10th after my try on appointment at 3:48 PM eastern time. Ordered the 42mm Stainless with medium black leather loop.
 
Posted this on another thread. But all of my orders now have 2-3 week delivery windows. Except my dark brown leather watch I ordered. Which still says June. So it looks like I will be just buying the band separate, and settling for one of the other watches that ship out.
 
Sounds like it might be the very beginnings of movement.

Have the large on order for a 180mm wrist though, so might have to see how I get on with that or whether I need to switch out the band for a medium causing yet more delays...!

You will definitely want the medium. My wrist is slightly larger and I still had a lot of band looped over with the medium. The large was giant; the band almost went back to the face.
 
Just checked and my SS BlueL 42mm ordered 4/10 now says shipping June 3-16 instead of just June. Not what I was hoping for I always felt like June would be the absolute longest it would take to get my watch now it feels like it been pushed back. I know it said June when I irdered but based on other preorders I never thought it would actually take this long. I am now starting to not even want to be excited for this watch because obviously it's not coming anytime soon and it's starting to be torture.

Just place another order for one that will arrive sooner. Place a separate order on the leather band you want. And this way at least you'll have your watch sooner. While your waiting for that band you want.

Yeah. I am getting an SS BSB, but have a leather loop on order separately for whenever this starts shipping.
