Anyway, I see where your both coming from, and I agree that each of these are a possibility. Hoping it's not much longer until we hear some good news! I'm tired of continuously checking my order status, even though Apple clearly states they'll email when Preparing for Shipment.
My blue medium loop only order from the 10th just got pre-auth and moved to prepare for shipping too - hopefully all an indication that the watch with leather loop orders will begin to do the same soon if the leather loops are beginning to make their way into the distribution network in decent numbers.
The op changed the thread title, to keep this to updates for watch with leather loop bands... NOT leather loop bands only.

I ordered the wrong size black leather loop for my watch order, so I placed another order for the Milanese band to see which watch would come first.
The milanese loop fits and came on launch. The black leather loop is too big, and should be here 2015/05/10 - 2015/05/21.
I also ordered the correct size black leather loop as an add-on for the milanese band one and that one now says "2015/05/25 - 2015/05/31" instead of just "May". Crazy delays on this stuff!!

They're all boxed up just sitting in a warehouse somewhere waiting for the 13th, meanwhile Apple is probably watching this thread and laughing at us.
There's no reason to think the bands and watches+bands shipments are correlated. Those shipments most likely coming from different factories with different production paths. The only thing we can glean is that the bands do exist.
Some planes flew in yesterday, but apparently none of our orders moved. There are currently no flights listed, but over the day, more should pop up for this evening.

I have done exactly the same on April 10th. Pre ordered the 42 SS BB LL and it jumped to 4-6 weeks straight away. Once I have reaslised that I ordered the same watch with Milanese Loop, that must have been around 8.05am uk time. Got the Milanese Loop on release day, which made me cancel my initial order.
I have however, pre ordered just the strap, which so far has no movement at all.
How fair is it that Apple is shipping standalone LL bands to people who probably already have a watch, while those of us who ordered the watch with LL band are still waiting?
It speaks to how disorganized this whole thing is for them. With so many options it leaves a lot of room for error.
It's not at all strange. Band-only orders can ship immediately. Watches with bands require assembly.
This stands to reason, IF they have ample bands to fill both standalone and watch orders. If this is the case, watch orders should start shipping very soon. If they only have a limited supply of bands, and are using all of these to fulfill standalone orders it would be very disappointing and 'backwards'.
There was also no change today for status of my LL watch order.

It's a good sign! Thanks for the post, I checked the UK store and it's the same there too. ##
So bands are definitely shipping out... so maybe 1 day transport to another facility, 24-48hours for assembly, then packaging and shipment... It definitely looks like there's movement but even at high speed production we may be looking at a few days or early next week. But I'm still hopeful they're working even faster than that.
Just looked at the U.S. Store, currently the only band with a 2-4 week shipping is the large Stone LL. The rest of the large bands are May. While the medium bands are still stuck at June, except for the Stone LL which is May.
