Next time...

Tell you what, it is going to be hard for me to trust Apple on any future pre-orders now. I've always pre-ordered when possible to avoid the lines, (back to pre-ordered Rev A iMac back in '98, from CompUSA), but for this, if I'd known at the time it was going to take over a month, I might have just waited. When I set the alarm to get up in the early wee hours of the morning to try and get an order in, and at 6 minutes after the gate was open I get my confirmation email, I did not expect this. Not just the delay, or wait, but the apparenty inconsistency, or apparent, from this end, lack of rhyme or reason to the order of shipments, and no communication regarding what is going on behind the scenes. Even on this one, when I first saw the May 13-27, I actually read it as 'April 27', and I was a bit upset it would be after April 24 by 3 days. Not until a while later did I get that it was MAY 13-27. I was like, WTH? MAY? But I stayed with it. So I don't know...after this experience, I might just be done with pre-orders and just hold out until they actually have some available for purchase and delivery or take home. I do not want to do this again. I realize it is not even May 13 yet, but nonetheless, I don't think I want to do this again.

Am I the only one here who has an ETD of May 14-27?? It's weird considering I ordered at xx:01 and I got May 14th at the earliest.

I have a launch day SS42/LeatherLoop (Stone / Medium) order that is still processing.

The order was done on the German Apple Online Store and I have not had any communication from Apple.

My delivery window always has been 5/12-26 and I don't believe that Apple will deliver on time. But we will see.

I also have not been charged, neither for the watch or AppleCare+Just for completeness sake I have attached the status. You can parse the important stuff even if it's german. The order time should have been 9:06.

I've not posted much on this thread, but I have been refreshing this thread as much as my order page and my bank account. I will definitely be glad once we all get our watches, but i'm not sure how i will use all the time i've been spending on this thread.

Two things that will help alleviate the stress of waiting:

1) Stop checking if your CC is billed
2) Stop checking your order status

Done and done.

"Yes, you can. You can get it between *insert delivery window here*" - Apple ;)

Gets better every time I see it. It's just hilarious! Thank you. :D

Also, the more I read of the Stainless Steel + Link Bracelets now shipping, the more depressing it becomes for me, somehow.

Why did I have to pick the two types that are not shipping at all? The 38mm SS + Modern Buckle for my lovely wife, and the 42mm SS+ Leather Loop for myself. Why?! Why, Jebus?!

That sounds even more depressing. I'm sure I've spent more time in this thread than I'll spend playing with my watch for a month. :D

I ask myself this more and more. I thought I was only gonna be able to afford the sport, so I started saving money. Then I realized I would beat that amount so I thought stainless steel in black sport band. Sweet! better watch, ask for better bands for christmas/birthday...etc. Then a week before launch I said, HEY! I have 700 and I really wanted the Blue Leather Loop so **** IT! Ill order the one I really wanted....and because of that, I am at the back of the mother ****ing line while people who ordered my first two choices already have theirs and in some cases the extra loop they ordered! Great job this time apple! You have 16 ****ING days till I consider starting to spend my money on other products...not that you will miss it...

Oh I almost forgot, the other models that I wanted that have the same window as mine and were ALREADY DELIVERED

What's not to understand? When they ship in 2018, as a make-it-up-to-us gesture they'll next-day them to us.

LOL. Thanks, mate.

... many true words ... spoken by a mindful human being

The next product, even if it's the iPhone 6S PlusPlus, will only be ordered if the online store says "Ships in 1-3 business days"

This was the last time I will spend my money on patience.

I get the feeling most/all of us are not going to see any Leather Loop Apple Watches this week. I mean not a single one has shipped yet, which means they're not all magically going to ship at the same time - even if they did/do start shipping today. Which means sadness abound! :(

Yeah, it looks like physics might prevent. Going by that flightaware link, fwiw, it takes 9 hours from Shenzhen to Anchorage. Some time spent there. Then 6 hours to Louisville, KY. Then it would have to take at least overnight from there for delivery? It's 6:32pm May 11 Monday central time. Is 7:33am May 12 Tuesday in China. No UPS planes appear to have left yet 'today', (Tuesday there), at least such that are picked up at this URL, (http://flightaware.com/live/iphone), so any new shipments haven't even started yet. :( If they're going to make May 13, they're cutting it pretty close. I know sounding like a bunch of whiners but people have committed to pay just like everyone else that ordered weeks later, and is looking like LLs are going to be the only combo not making by initial date of range? Why? #firstworldproblems I know but not happy about it nonetheless.

I see what you're saying, but I don't think it's exactly true for everyone. For myself, I live in Nashville which isn't too far from Louisville. So, if by some magic my watch is on the planes currently heading to Louisville, then my order will go Preparing for Shipment overnight and possibly ship tomorrow. If it's two-day, then that has me getting it Thursday. If they are next-daying them, then Wednesday.

For what I understand, the status of most people's watches orders doesn't change til the watch arrives in Louisville, KY or Ontario, CA - so we won't know when our watches leave China, only when they arrive over this way.

As someone who got my leather loop to go with my SSBSB I think it is a joke that I got my extra band before any of you get shipped out.
The leather loop is awesome though. You guys will love it.

Nobody has Preparing For Shipment, right? We're all Processing.

I had read that PFS gets done a few hours before the UPS plane leaves China, and that about 3 hours after leaves they change the status to "Shipped" because at that point it is solid in UPS' possession. I have no way of knowing if that is accurate but seemed to make sense that Apple would call them "shipped" when the item is in possession of the carrier. As far as Apple is concerned at that point, it has shipped. I can see that, but just read it from other posts.
