The still waiting on FedEx thread

Still waiting here too. It's 11:15 am with a delivery due by 3pm.

He usually comes around two. :(

My son is in Pre-K and he said, "I can't wait for Mommy's iPad to get here then the iPad (1st Gen) will be all mine!"

You're awesome for letting her use it! I mean, you'd be awesome just for passing down the old one to her. Pure awesome either way, she's lucky to have such a great dad! Maybe you could pass off the original to her and say it's all hers, and make it special that she gets her own, and still let her play with yours when she wants/if she wants.

That's the funny thing about delivery. You preorder it weeks early but I woke up at 8am, walked into Best Buy and walked out with it

Appreciate the nice words. The problem with passing off the original and saying its all hers is that in her mind it already is. She never asks to use daddy's iPad. She says she wants her iPad.

The iPad is an incredible learning device for young kids. The things that she can do with it is amazing. There are so many educational apps. It has helped her with reading and letters, counting, matching, problem solving and the list goes on. And all our friends say the same thing. You can't put a price tag on something like that. That is what gets lost in the media. They just can't convey the true impact the device is having on the youngest generation of America.
 
Still waiting here in West Sacramento, CA. It's been "on delivery" since 6:49AM, and it is now 11:31AM.

I'm worried that they'll deliver it to the front desk and not my apartment, because I have my sister working from my apartment instead of her house so she can sign for it when it arrives. Hopefully I don't get this "exception" bs that everyone else is getting, and that everything goes smoothly.
 
2:36 here. Delivery's supposed to be by 3.

My FedEx guy's a procrastinator though. He delivered my Apple TV at 2:54 yesterday with a 3 PM deadline.
 
20 mins until a bunch of East coast customers start getting very angry.

80 mins for us mid-westerners.
 
I have to leave around 2:45pm for work. The delivery is scheduled to arrive by 3pm. I hope I don't miss the driver.

I have had TWO yes TWO Fedex trucks drive through my apartment complex! Still no ipad.
 
I can almost guarantee at least one person on this forum has stopped a random FedEx driver today and tried to get them to check if his iPad was on their truck.

Anyone want to fess up?

Ugh

My delivery just got bumped to 9pm! I am not at all a happy camper right now! I should have just went to Best Buy! :mad:
 
still waiting on FedEx here too, and funny enough, garbage day here too. On the plus side, the delivery of my Apple TV that I missed yesterday was at 12:45PM local time, it's 11:45AM local time here now so I might be within an hour of getting the delivery. FedEx Tracking says my packages have been on the truck for delivery since 9:36AM so who knows when it will get here.
