The still waiting on FedEx thread

This is my first time preordered an Apple product. I must say, it'd be less stressful to have waited and picked one up at a retail store. I wouldn't have wasted time during the week pointlessly checking my tracking and order info and now I'm just waiting at the mercy of a FedEx delivery guy who has 100s of other iPads to deliver.
 
2:06 with 4:30 scheduled delivery cut off. Still nothin. Though, I haven't seen the UPS guy either. The curse of living in the sticks.
 
Not trying to rub it in but since I started the thread I figured I needed to post back. Mine arrived at 2:05pm. Haven't even opened it yet but at least I don't need to wait around anymore.
 
FedEx is playing a cruel game with me. I am working from home today to make sure someone is here to sign for it. It is scheduled to be delivered by 4:30, but usually comes between 1-2. So I am in my office and hear a truck driving down the street. FedEx - YES!. As I watch from the window, it stops at the house across the street. Delivery done, driver hops in the truck, goes down to the end of the cul de sac, turns around and... WTF!!! He drives right past my house and keeps going!

I sit in my desk feeling betrayed that the driver didn't drop off my package and reluctantly get back to work. About 1/2 later I hear a truck again. Peek out the window again - FedEx - YES! It goes down to the cul de sac and stops to drop off a package at one of those houses. I am doing the happy dance - I'm next. Driver gets back into the truck and... WTF!!! He drives right past my house again without stopping! Are you kidding me???

Grumble, so I still sit waiting. I swear if I see the truck again and it doesn't stop, I'm gonna hop on my bike and run him down!
 
I couldn't stand waiting - had to get away from my Mac to go clean the house just to occupy my brain. That only lasted an hour, heh heh. Arrrgh and to think I could just drive to BestBuy 2 miles away and go buy one right now.

C'mon, Fedex. :(
 
Super hungry, ate when I got up 5 hours ago, and was at the end of a long 8 day work week so I don't have much in the way of groceries left over. I refuse to drive somewhere to get food because that will invariably cause the FedEx driver to get here in the 5 minutes or so that I'm gone.
 
2:22 and still waiting. Fed Ex usually comes to our office way before this. I kind of want to call but I'll wait until 3. I'm so bummed

Man that is cruel. Mine was supposed to be here at 3. Got delivery exception. ETA is now 5:45. I think I'm going to start drinking heavily.

Amen, this is the first and last time that I will ever preorder anything from Apple, because I could have been to Best Buy and back ten times, before they deliver my iPad! This is flipping insane, I can't even go take a shower, because knowing my luck, Fed Ex would come while I was in the shower, and now it is claiming it might not be here till 9PM???? Can you take up any more of my day FED EX? I am so flipping pissed right now... I could spit! :mad:

I haven't gotten an exception yet so I'm still holding out hope mine is coming. If anything, it had better be here before 5, as this is a business...and it's Friday. Grrrr.
 
Delivered at 2:15pm. FedEx guy said he had a ton to deliver in Downtown Houston.

A co-worker accidentally set delivery to her house. She was mysteriously sick today :) haha!
 
Just got mine. in case anyone is interested, it did not come in a Fedex Home delivery truck like normal Fedex stuff does for me.
 
2:35 and still waiting... fedex came here yesterday for a package for my parents and it was around 2:00.. hmm..
 
Mine came about 10 minutes ago. He said 90% of his deliveries today have been iPads...and about a quarter of them no one was home.
 
HEY! That FedEx truck that just went by had a whole string of those white Apple stickers stuck on its side! :apple: :apple: :apple: (an ace?)
