I loved all the top gear subtleties they had in the office at the beginning, whitening toothpaste, the stig photocopying his head, a framed picture of will young and christian scott thomas I'm sure there were a few others as well but can't remember them.

The Murciélago send-off was awesome. So was the Veyron vs. F1 race, but folks need to remember with that ambient temperature, I expect the Veyron's four turbos were not at peak performance. I'd still love to see them prove JC's claim that a Veyron will reach 200mph from a standing start faster than a McLaren F1 can get there from 120mph.

The Teen Car skit was funny. Plenty of "cocking about" which is always good.

I'm still waiting for the new seasons of Top Gear and Doc Who to start on BBC America. On top of all that I been hearing rumors about a new Red Dwarf too what do any of you guys on the other side of the Atlantic know about those rumors?

Nice catch on the gold stack. My brain processed it at something out of the ordinary, but didn't pick up on it as gold. I did catch the whitener and the photocopier.

I'm not sure where you guys are up to but this years (the UK's 2009) series of Who is just a bunch of one-off specials scattered throughout the year.
One of the writers of Red Dwarf said if the Easter hour long special was well received they'd consider doing a new series.
But gah I missed this weeks episode. Was in a game at the time, the girlfriend started playing too but said "oh are you watching Top Gear, Fry's on it"... No! Thank goodness for the iPlayer

Problem there, every time I've tried to access new content associated with the BBC the sites won't allow it since I am not in the UK.
Thats what is good about that site it isn't related to the BBC so you can download it in the US.

I absolutely love that car! Such a beauty.
I would take the Lambo over the Merc any day of the week. Infinitely more passion in it than in any Mercedes, imo.
The SLR did do a pretty good number on the Lambo, though - but then it better, for how much it costs.
The exhaust note on that Lamborghini was spectacular. I must say, only two episodes into this season, it is already becoming my favorite season of all time.

The supercharged V8 rumble on the 722 is something else... one of the most beautiful engine sounds ever.
Speaking from experience of being in the passenger seat of one - the car is pretty much silent until you put your foot down, unlike most supe/hypercars. But if you did spend that amount of cash on a car you'd want the engine noise ringing out the engine all the time.

If you go over to the forums at finalgear.com and register, you'll find a thread somewhere in there (not that hard to find but I'm not posting any direct links to it just in case....) that has links to download the latest episode from RapidShare. Sign up for a RapidShare premium account to remove download restrictions (It's around $10 for 30 days, it depends on the USD/EUR exchange rate though, worth it for Top Gear). The links are usually posted around 20 minutes after the episode finishes airing. Episodes finish airing at 3 PM central time, using this method I'm usually watching it by 3:45....this depends on your internet connection speed though.
Does watching is 20 minutes after airing vs. 1 day after airing really make a difference? C'mon...
