He's a great guy.

It's a pity he didn't beat Jay Kay's time, because he's a cock! :D

Think Jezza was right when he said most in the audience wouldn't know who Brian Johnson was.

OK, who's going to admit they googled the name of the girl who was with May!!!

Love Top Gear.

Bit confused last night as was staying with friends in the country and came in half way through.

May's co pilot had longer hair than him, Hammond's was even shorter than he is, - apart from not speaking English, which most of the world's population don't but Clarkson does, what was the deal with Jezza's date?

I'm so in love with the Dinosaurs, I watched again last night. Final Cut? After Effects? there's no way those could be animatronic... either way, uber cool :)

Not the best episode..... but of course still enjoyable ;)

But, what a sad ending... Was JC in a melodramatic mood?
Makes me feel sad all over... :(

Having a look over at the Finalgear and Top Gear forums, and even on BBC's Top Gear's website, it seems Top Gear is back in November.
So, maybe we shouldn't be too sad....

But, it is one of the most emotional films made for a non-emotional TV show.

It reminds of the last ever Blackadder episode: "Goodbyeeee"..... a brilliant comedy, but with a hugely emotional ending to the series.
It does make your eyes very watery...

Brilliant.

I thought it was the best episode of this Series, though I think this Series was not as good as 10 or 12 (with 7 being my idea of perfection).

Am i the only one who thought they tried to do something radically different in that last segment and um...failed. Why end the show on a downer when you've just had Jay Leno on

Series wasn't that spectacular but it had its moments

It's one of those Marmite moments.... you love it or hate it.

I downloaded the episode, and watched the final few minutes about the AMV12 again, and i absolutely loved it.

JC's afraid that driving that car is "an ending". One thing is for sure... modern day western economy and political misuse of the environment discussion, puts most car makers into a new commercial strategy... BMW getting out of F1, the ridiculous hybrid disease, etc.
One day, fast computers that consume too much power will be hugely taxed too.
One day, all the old and rotting hugely environmentally damaging batteries of those hybrid vehicles must be recycled.
One day, flying will be ended, as it is is far too damaging... environmentally speaking.
One day, the biggest user of fossil fuels, i.e. trains, must be destroyed.
One day, the biggest creator of greenhouse gasses must be removed.... Oh, that's nature itself.
One day, me might find out that the earth's mini ice-age is disappearing.

;)

EDIT: Don't get me wrong. People should ALWAYS try to minimize the use of any form of energy!!
Just try to use common sense about it instead of having Hollywood cr@p like "The Day After Tomorrow" scare the hell out of you.

To set the tone, this was a 5 minute piece, with Brian Eno's 'An Ending' in the background. And in that entire 5 minutes - Clarkson just said this :

Well it's an Aston Martin Vantage with a V12 engine, so what do you think it's going to be like?

It is fantastic. It is wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.

What it makes me feel though, is sad. I just can't help thinking that thanks to all sorts of things, the environment, the economy, problems in the middle east, the relentless war on speed, cars like this will soon be consigned to the history books.

I just have this horrible dreadful feeling that what I'm driving here is an ending.

Goodnight.

Frankly - it's one of the most beautiful pieces of television I've ever watched.
