I really can't imagine Clarkson in a Gallardo... It doesn't suit an older bloke as well as the GT40
Does anyone know which other cars are in his collection?
Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, a Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG, a Volvo XC90, a Ford Focus, a BMW M5, and an ex-military Land Rover Defender, according to Wikipedia. I really hope the train crossing bit isnt cut after fridays derailing.

the BBC have put up a story on their news site that it will go ahead. seeing as it's meant to illustrate the dangers of level crossings, i wouldn't have thought for a moment they'd pull it.

The News bit was really funny. Seemed a lot less scripted this week.

It can't just be me who found the Stig sliding out of his tractor seat on the right-hander to be hysterical? That was a classic comedy moment. Lucky the door held, mind...
YES, and when he was bouncing immensely because someone set his seat to super "soft".
When the Stig was flooring Clarkson's tractor wound the corner i had the awful feeling it was going to go over.

The news was pretty funny, as were the digs at JC about Kristin.

"I only got it that morning, it had 8 miles on the clock, I didn't know what all the knobs and bits did.."
"There are only 2 knobs..! Well.. 3 if you count the one who bought it.."
Those bits were pretty funny. The rest wasn't really all that though.

An F1 car would destroy it in acceleration, even the current 2.4 V8's.
Round a track, the Veyron isn't very impressive at all... there's faster, and in some cases, much faster (road) cars.
BAR-Honda actually used an adapted F1 car to hit 400 kmph on the salt flats last year. I'm guessing with the right gearing there's not really any reason for them not to be able to go faster than that.
