Queenie: And me, did you miss me, Edmund?
Blackadder: Madam, life without you was like...a broken pencil.
Queenie: Explain...? Edmund: Pointless.

Pointless... indeed. Do you think we're actually going to see some cars this series?

I don't think this is a full series, just a one off special

The series has long gone into what I like to describe as "the adevntures of the Top Gear Boys", where maybe some exotic cars will be raced by the Stig on the test track.
Wouldn't suprise me to find out that the BBC have been put under pressure by some "green organisation" to force Top Gear to make an end to what they do best: road tests. I bet the continuous irritating complaining about Jeremy encouraging driving fast, his love for petrol guzzling vehicles, being un-ecofriendly etc. has finally got to the BBC and ultimately the Top Gear team.
So, now we are treated to funny sitcom adventures and an occasional race on the track. Maybe James gets to road test some new Citroen, or they can talk about the 5-star safety boredom of a new Renault....
But, even under these new conditions I find Top Gear still to be my favourite show on TV.

Why don't they move from Surrey to the Isle of Man?

Well it is different to the original Toybota

BBC2 Wed 8pm - Top Gear : Polar Challenge

is this a repeat or a new special ?

Think this is new as I haven't seen it before

BBC said:
Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond are racing to the North Pole, Jeremy and James are in a specially adapted pick-up truck, while Richard is on a sled pulled by a team of huskies. [AD,S]

Interesting that it is Jeremy and James together rather than the usual challenge format.

Wow, that cant be true, did they really drive to the North Pole with Toyota HiLux's? If they did and this is genuine then mark me up for impressed!

The north pole isn't actually in the middle of all that ice up there. You can actually swim to it....if you're happy to have a tiny little cock.

Well yeah but it wasn't exactly easy and the show displayed clear reason for why it's not done. The whole thing could have been a toyota advert, those things came off quite impressively.

Funny stuff.

Was funny when Clarkson got that nut stuck to his lips :D

Brilliant show, and I now wan a Hilux. Those things are solid, puts Land Rover to shame

Jeeps are not necessarily good (at 4x4) for their parts themselves but more for their lightweight body and small wheelbase.

I'd like to see them not freeze to death in a wrangler out there. They are a bit breezy, hard top or not.
