It's the name of my company: :D

My name's Laura. Although most call me Laura now, my friends from school (and a few others) called me Lau (pronounced to rhyme with "Mau" (as in Chairman), not like "law"). It's pleasing in its simplicity, so I tend to get the arse if it's already been taken. Fortunately here it wasn't, so that's my name. :)

It's what I do. Make new cells - in a lab - as well as in my body, but it refers to the lab stuff, transformation of cellular phenotype, creating new cells for diseased states etc. etc.

I'm from New Jersey and I use a mac.

I just used it to read the forums on the 2004 Macworld Expo when you had to register to read the forum. If I knew I was going to stick around I would have picked a better name. This place is addicting.

there's a couple of older threads in here about that, but as such i am too lazy too look right now :p

my username is pretty easy: my first name is Blue (yes, it's my real name) so iBlue. ;)

I love your name....maybe because blue is my favorite color;)

Bless

It's a silly sn I used ever since junior high inspired by a character in a Capcom game. :p

all my friends call me "cow" due the plush stuffed bovine on top of my CRT. I started out using "cow" as a handle half-life deathmatch during college and it soon became "supercow" then finally "superbovine". The name stuck after that, and I forever a cow, moo.

I was just referencing thier prominent use of a Dark Crystal sample on the first track of thier first commercial release, Vegas.

Excellent album by the way, probably my favorite of theirs, although Tweekend does come close in many respects...

One of my Aunts name her dog, Blue.

Not that I'm saying your a dog...
:)

When I first began reading MacRumors, it was just to get a little information about Macs. I lurked for a while, then one day had a question, so decided to register. I had no intention of staying, mind you, so just came up with a quickie user name to reflect my then-current frame of mind vis-a-vis the whole Mac thing.... If I had realized that I was going to become totally addicted to both MacRumors and the beloved machines we discuss day-in-and-day-out I would've used one of the names I am better known as on other websites and in email. Alas.... So my user name here no longer really reflects reality -- I'm no longer "On the Brink," I've fallen, hook, line and sinker, for the Mac and Apple products...

"Another world, Another time. In the Age of Wonder… Another world, another time, this land was green and good until the Crystal cracked… Once more they will replenish themselves… Cheat death again… The power of their source… the Crystal. The crystal… (echoing)."

Tweakers ... :p

first mac that was mine ! ALL MINE ! A tangerine iMac... and i was hoping for lime too, bah. And yum, because when i opened the iMac box there was a poster on top featuring the 5 iMacs in a pentagon with the simple slogan Yum.
It almost started out as my sn on aim way back when i was the 2nd person i knew who had the internet, but some girl in florida had it already but it she wasnt a mac geek she just liked tangerines. so i was tangerineyumalso, which sounded really dumb as i got older, so now im ootangerineyumoo or tangerineyum where ever its not taken. I could have been Limeyum ! How silly would that be, doesnt quite roll off the tongue like tangerineyum. bwahaha

This is a SN I've used for a while.
It's a newer one I made to drift away from my old one (sircomplainsalot.. had it since 6th grade. I don't quite know where it came from.)
I have a TextAmerica.com website. (the TA part)
and the blog is titled Achoo.

So, KT, my name, TA Achoo.

Except now, I can't really deal with textamerica. When someone ripped off and did a HORRIBLE chop n shop of a Joy of Tech comic, and posted it as their own work, and didn't say "I just ripped off the JoT, I have no original ideas of my own!" that was the last straw. I'm so over TA. I've moved onto flickr... (OK, I don't have a flickr yet, I'll get to it!)
Also, it's annoying and really cliquish.

I want a new SN.. neutral so I won't get tired of it in a year or so.
No econ, no music, no Mac-stuff.. but not firstinitial.lastname. pft. That's so lame. :)

I've said it before, but I will say it again, I am the dark lord of the sith. So deal with it, or I will force choke you like Rebel scum.

I could never think of anything clever, so I picked the Croatian word for beer. The number 6 is just a random number.
