At 16:38 you posted in the other thread that it was not coming to PAYG on Vodafone.
At 16:51 you posted in this thread that you "must stress" the PAYG Vodafone pre-orders were from June 24th.
That's different information, and you've not even gone back into the thread to correct your mistake for those following that thread and not this one.
We don't need you to "stress" anything because the people following this thread knew long before you "stressed" the pre-order date for PAYG that it had been listed.
As for "confusion helps" ... aye, ok.![]()
Hi all i am wondering will i be able to use my teso sim (cut down of course) in a 02 locked iphone 4?
cheers in advance
Yes. Tesco and Giffgaff sim cards work in all locked O2 phones.
I did notice that, so fair dues on that count.
However, jumping between threads ends up having information split all over the place.
I don't know why any UK members would want to go and start these Vodafone price threads anyway (I know you didn't begin those threads), it's been in here for long enough ... it's just wanting attention I suppose.
All the info on UK iPhone 4, contract and PAYG, is being discussed in here.
The other threads should either be removed or merged with this one.
that says you'll need to change your sim, nothing about PAYG![]()

It says:
"Yes, if you buy a PAYG iPhone 4. You will need to change your sim to a Micro Sim though".
So ... it does say something about PAYG.
People need to use common sense and stop getting themselves into a panic.
O2 would not be commenting on their official Twitter page about PAYG iPhone 4 if it wasn't coming out on the 24th or very soon after at the least.
read it properly
Unfortunately, the way that forums works does ensue some form of fragmentation. It is the site's response which matters. I agree that these threads would be better off merged into a bug lump of data.
In other words, I agree.
It says:

stop using common sense and logic, you're confusing people
Hmm, so someone commented they were worried they won't have the iPhone on the 24th, then someone replied saying O2 confirmed they would on their twitter, however, all the twitter confirmed was that o2 would have PAYG, which we already knew...It says:
"Yes, if you buy a PAYG iPhone 4. You will need to change your sim to a Micro Sim though".

Alright oxford boy.
How's vodaphone's 3G?
The last 7 words made me laugh. Nobody knows for sure if iPhone 4 will be available on payg next Thursday.
IOW, the twitter comment doesn't answer the question of whether O2 will have PAYG iPhone on 24th.
Right.
The O2 Twitter page is run by O2's press department.
Why would the O2 press department comment on the use of your existing PAYG SIM and having to transfer your number to a Micro SIM, if it wasn't happening either a) on the 24th of June or b) very soon after then.
Seriously, it's not rocket science. If it wasn't happening on PAYG, then O2 wouldn't be officially commenting on it at all. Period.
Vodafone's 3G is quite good, and comparable to O2, but I personally find that Vodafone's network is superior in terms of performance. O2's network appears to be under substantial load, and in the past few years, the network hasn't improved greatly in the area.
