What this thread needs more of is people checking the websites of every single company even tangentially related to the release of the iPhone 4 in the UK, every two minutes, and posting back here, also every two minutes, as to the status of said website.

Don't you just love sarcasm... 🙂

apple - down
operator websites say register interest there ya go

Excellent, can you post back in two minutes to let us know what's changed? Ideally also add a little rant at Apple or O2's expense, about how they've royally messed this release up and it's worse than the iPad release, in which we were all shafted by Steve Jobs personally.

😉

So all the stores world wide have been down and, when they come back up, every Apple fan in the world is going to start hitting them to find the iPhone pre-orders?

This must be about to be one of the biggest stress tests of a web site for a very long time. There must be some very nervous Apple system administrators and service staff right now. Will the sites really hold up to this number of hits in the first minutes and hours of going live?

Lowest form of humour, difficult to get across on a forum 😱

Funniest form of humour you mean 🙂

Oh come on, you guys set yourselves up for it sometimes! Don't worry, I'm just as bad right now, refreshing all the usual suspects. I just don't post every time I do it. We'll be fine. This time next month we'll all have our iPhone 4s. 🙂

Good call on the Apple Dock. I wonder if they will have a new iphone dock, or if we have to get the universal dock.

There's a new dock. Steve showed it last week. Don't know if my 3G dock will work with it, I suspect it won't be the right shape.
