The U.K. iPhone 4 Thread

I'm late into this thread. But can u reserve to collect instore? Or do u have to pre-order. Just waiting on my 3gs to sell on ebay, finishes tomorrow, cant pre-order until i know my 3gs has sold.

Wanting to go to the glasgow store on the 24th.

Thing is, those online chat agents all seem to be based in the US - I'm really not sure if they're up to speed with UK pricing and availability...

Managed to get my order in, had to do it in Safari, firefox was playing up. Hopefully 3% quidco tracks too 😀
 
Well, really happy I managed to get a 16GB earlier (9:55am according to the order details screen) - now I can do some shopping around for the best deals 😀
 
Can someone answer a quick question for me. I have just received 'Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic (and Volume control) from ebay and I am not sure if they are genuine 'Apple' Eaphones. Can anyone with the same earphones confirm that they have the word China on the wire about 1cm up from the stereo jack ? Please...
 
I've gone into my local carphone warehouse and reserved an iPhone. There's no official reserving system yet but they have a piece of paper with a list of names and numbers.

thanks, thats true i guess. mines up in 1 month but dont know if i like being tied to an 18monther - either way i still need a contract right? from what we have seen so far theres no cost benefit tho is there?

are they likely to unlock it for free like they do now? (if youre on contract)

Yeah they do... the ones that cam with my 3Gs have chine written on the wire about the same place...

EDIT: whoops, haha, I hope they don't say chine... they would def be fake then... but ya... they say china

Just looked through my orders and I have one from 9.35am and 11.18am along with the latest one that hasn't shown up yet. Looks like the ones that were timing out have actually went through! Canceling all but the 9.35 order, any idea if they will charge or put a hold on my card for the amount of the three phones??

Just reserved mine to pick up at my local store (Lakeside) with contract.

I thought like others here, best to reserve whilst I wait to see what deals Vodafone, o2 etc come up with or whether I can sell a kidney in time to get enough cash to purchase an unlocked phone an carry on with my o2 simplicity tariff.

Kidney anyone? only £599, barely used!
