*

Deborah L: The iPhone 4 pricing will be the same as our current 3Gs models.
*

You: Thats great thank you very much for the info

You're welcome.
#

Deborah L: iPhone pre orders starts June 15. you can pre order or reserve yours on June 15th

Can you use the standard O2 Simplicity tariff, say £20 per month with unlimited texts and web, with the iPhone, or is there a special iPhone simplicity tariff?

No it's not. On my iPhone 2G I pay £15 / month* for unlimited texts and unlimited internet from O2. Even better, it all goes into call credits, so every month the amount of call credit I have goes up by £15. By now I have about £90 on my balance. I'm hoping I can use that towards iPhone 4, but that might be wishful thinking.

* Actually they have an £10/month offer for unlimited texts and internet now, but I haven't changed over yet.
Is that a simplicity plan?

yes i started mine in feb. i pay £20 for 700mins, 1400 texts and unlimited data. i have a 3GS that was bought PAYG.

So my early upgrade offer from O2 is £220. Then the £100 (or there about's for the handset) so that's £320.

I'm considering PAYGO more and more now.

PAYG is great. It's good not being tied to a contract for 18/24 months. I'm on the iphone simplicity contract and my bills are never more than £30 a month. Before I was on the £45pm tariff and my bills were huge :(

cex.co.uk have dropped the price of the trade in for my nexus one from £286 to £237 which is a pain so I have bitten the bullet and decided to get that price now before it goes down any further.

A friend of mine got £286 for his and it had dust under the screen and would not charge lucky bleep!!!

Have to slum it with a HD2 for the next few weeks now.

I think O2 will kr@p their pants when they see how many people want to go with Pay & Go handsets this time around.... they make way more money out of contracts. I just hope that they don't hold back on the release of Pay & Go as a result!

Glad I'm not the in the current iPhone team :)

Guys have you seen on the O2 website you can find out how much your upgrade to iphone 4 will cost, im not due an upgrade untill oct 2011 and it will cost me £300 but i can sell 3GS for £240 + 10% = £264 so only cost me £36 thats a bargain :D

I just spoke to one of the guys on the Apple Online Chat. He claims that he knows just as much as us however he did say that he presumes that prices will be revealed by June 15th and they will be similar to that of the iPhone 3GS.

That lets you buy your way out of your existing contract for less than your normal outstanding monthly payments, but I would assume you would then still have to pay the "new customer" price for the new handset, whatever that is going to be :

"Sign up for a new 18 or 24 month minimum term Pay Monthly or 24 month minimum term Business airtime contract with O2 with an iPhone 4 at the normal price for that phone and on our current relevant tariff terms at the time you sign up for the Offer."

Right so apparently it's gonna cost me £340 to upgrade, if I can get £200 for my 3GS does everyone think this is worth it?

Thanks :D

Do you work for O2?

Getting fired is very easy, the pressure is extremely high. Unfortunately, you can't even tell anyone you are in the team.

It's basically this:

Management <-> iPhone Team
|
v
The rest of O2

yeah your right looks that way so maybe another £89 on top if prices same as 3GS.

I think there is a special iPhone Simplicity tariff that gives you visual voicemail but the price should be the same as the normal one.

Guys Im talking to some guy named "David" on Apple Store Chat, and he says all pricing and preordering info will be released on preorder day, which is so stupid IMO, and yes pay as you go will be available on launch day.
He says he doesnt know how the preordering procedure works on Tuesday, and that I should come back "here" pressuming he's talking about the Apple Store on Tuesday. Now I think I will call up Apple tomorrow morning and ask them whats going on regarding preordering to pick up from a store on launch day, I dont really want to get it shipped, I would rather pick it up 1st thing when they open. Its really bad that they dont even know how the preordering will work! And the fact all info is out on the day we are gonna preorder. I dont understand why they are doing it like this TBH, they should put out all preorder and pricing info on the 14th...and the chat box isnt letting me send any more messages so looks like ive been cut off...

I've got a 16G 3G iphone in mint condition, I've just sent off for an envelope from o2recycle who are going to give me about £190 including the 10% code. The Code validated but it never gave me a total with the code just the £173:confused:

My 18 month contract ended last month and i've just continued with it as i knew the new iphone was on its way. I'm thinking of going with o2 again as i've had no problems but this time I want to buy the 32GB on payg at £550 and take a 12month simplicity contract out at £15pm allowing me to upgrade every june ;)

I would normaly take out a contract but these 18 and 24 month contracts are just too long.

Can anyone see a problem with my plan, will i get the 10% extra from 02recycle, Will my local o2 store have the iphone 4 on release day?

Getting really excited now:D
