Isn't it funny how even though all these other networks have started stocking the iPhone still about 80% of people in this thread are still with o2.

I've been with O2 since the BT Cellnet and Genie days and have been treated well by them in the past (touches wood). For example, when the 3GS came out they made me eligible for an upgrade six months early despite not being a Platinum customer or anything else like that.

I'm not really upset about the data tariff change since it's been clear for a while that that's the way mobile networks are going. I'm not even too fussed about the number of minutes on 18 month contract dropping. The only thing I am annoyed about is the lack of free MMS from now on out. I preferred the 500 texts/125 MMS system they had before.

Just Called Apple Store Glasgow. Who Told me they dont know there stock allocations for tomorrow and all pre orders sold out. I have no reservation and would like an Iphone 4 Sim free. Guy said no gaurentees, highly unlikely i will get one. He said there is people in the Line outside already Waiting. lol.

Should i go for the gamble? I was planning to get there at 5AM. I dont want to go for an overnight stay outside the apple store in the middle of glasgow and end up with nothing.

Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) - 24 Jun 2010 (Subject to change)

But on my invoice its got:

Due Date
Jun 23, 2010

I don't know if that means It's going to be delivered today

Also, my invoice shows my serial number for my iPhone. Got me even more excited!

What happens if you try to track your delivery on the UPS site? do you get number not found? Would be interseting to see the delivery steps as per UPS like when picked up, when it arrived at local depot etc

Hi mr, well i have a delivery date of the 28th June, despatched today. Ah well, its out of my hands.

I will have a walk past the Apple store this evening and see what like with the queue.

lol, that reminds me of when I was waiting for my MBP to be delivered... anytime I heard anything remotely like a truck stopping outside my house I ran to the window to see if it was UPS... there was a lot of excitement followed by disappointment that day... then when it finally was UPS... I messaged pretty much everyone on my phone

Heh... I just went down to tell them and the office is closed! I popped down earlier and there was someone there but I thought naa, no one would get them today. DOH!

So I left an additional note that was left by the staff to UPS saying call me, I'm here!

If the iPhone is delivered today, and I'm out, will UPS automatically re-deliver tomorrow...?

Reason: I assumed that it would be delivered on the 24th and got it to be sent to my home. (There's a Tube strike tomorrow).

As I'm likely going to have to wait a couple of weeks for stock levels to pick up, this gives me more time to wrestle with the dilemma of:

a) SIM free and free to switch network

or

b) upgrade with O2.

There's about £20 difference in it, according to the excellent spreadsheet provided earlier in the thread......

When you come to sell it, sim free will sell for more.
So i'd get sim free.

yep it says that, ive tried all the number just in case the others worked but nothing.
