The U.K. iPhone 4 Thread

Reading the posts about how many people are waiting outside O2 shops would make me worried to be somewhere after the 10th person... I'd just be thinking "if I'm the last person to get one, when the staff come out to announce that they just ran out, everyone else in the queue will all chase/kill me for it, but if the guy in front of me is the last one, I'll be going to prison for murder... but at least I'll have my iPhone in prison"

(I would be sorely disappointed when I got to prison and they took the phone from me :( )
 
could i not pay, ok apple have not taken or disabled the money in my account, so what if i got the phone then transfered the money to my savings account would this work

Yeah the worlds gone iPhone crazy, last year I breezed into o2 just after 9 and I was the first buying a 3GS there they said, queue this year is over 100 I have heard.
 
O2 Kings Rd, 36 32GB handsets in stock, and 70 16GB handsets. Queue od 5 outside CPW, no one outside Oange. Don't knw abou Voda as too far down road.
 
Had my iphone on order with apple online store but was in the 2nd batch for 2nd July Delivery.

Just ordered it on the orange website on pay monthly, and will be here before 12pm tomorrow!! :)

No phone shops are stocking it in my town!!!

you should call the apple stores over there a few days before going to see if they think they'll have stock, and check if they'll let you reserve one for when you get there...

don't worry at least u gave me a useful site(http://www.emiratesavenue.com) FOR THE FUTURE =p .. but 3500Dhs for 16GB o_O THAT'S MADNESS.

about the iphone, i might consider ordering it via apple.com/uk since i have an ARAMEX mailbox in UK, but apple website won't allow me to take 3 units per purchase :(

Tesco phone shop is down! Got check4change running to see when its back up. Phone lines are also down.
 
Reservation queue at Apple Regent street store moving quite fast - feel a bit sorry for the walk-in line which has only shuffled a bit (quite a bit of grumbling too). However I did overhear an Apple sales girl saying the store expects to have enough stock for everyone who wants to buy one TODAY - so if I was one of those folks unlucky enough to be turned away from an O2 store it's the first place I would head!
 
iPhone out for delivery in Glasgow

My iPhone UPS tracking status says "out for delivery" woohoo as an added plus no money has left my account for the iphone maybe im getting a freebie :)

I was officially the first person in Manchester to be sold an iPhone. 12th in the queue, ended up going in to the store about 5th (as I'd reserved) but emerged first to a few claps and cheers.

First impressions ... the screen is amazing.
 
Assuming this antenna issue is very real (and it certainly looks like a significantly widespread issue) then Apple are going to have a lot of disgruntled customers to deal with at the Genius Bars and on the phones over the next few weeks, regardless of whether it's a real reception problem or just a display/software issue or not.

And frankly that whole 'display/software' excuse is a bit weak. How is software affected by how you hold a phone?
 
Still no one else at Carphone Warehouse on Peninsular Park Road in Charlton, North Greenwich. Been here for about fourty minutes now. It's been nice so far since I could stay in the car with the air con on. They don't open until 10am though.
 
Wife has just walked from Cannon Street to her office in Broadgate Circle and has told me that there are upwards of 500 people outside the various phone shops she passes.....

Personally I am waiting for the Brown and Gold van to arrive.....

ya... I had a feeling the price would have increased by now... when we checked it was 3600 for the 32GB, neither my boss nor I want the 16, haha

I think they'll soon open it up for ppl to order more than 2... if not get a friend to order the third one or something... I'm doing something similar tho, I'm gonna order mine in a few days but to my moms house :p
