The U.K. iPhone 4 Thread

Bugger, mine seems to have been routed to Dewsbury for some reason, not York. It says it might not now be delivered on the scheduled date.

Any other Yorkies have the same issue?

Anyone in a queue at Apple store Solihull? Just wondering what time to go and collect my reserved phone.

No pics yet from the queues either - it'd be great if some of you could upload some pics!

I was officially the first person in Manchester to be sold an iPhone. 12th in the queue, ended up going in to the store about 5th (as I'd reserved) but emerged first to a few claps and cheers.

I know it's not something you probably wanna think about... and to be honest I'm not expecting a reply anytime soon if you have the phone now :p but any discoloration of the screen

i'm heading to regent st for my reservation late afternoon. would love it if you tell us how many people are in the reservation queue as you're leaving. sending me a pm would be even better in case i can't find your post ;-)

But its not just iPhone 4... it seems like iOS4 the same guy who posted the video of it on the iPhone 4 then posted it about his 3G running iOS4 and the same thing happened.
 
About 300 at the Kingston store, staff are telling folks who haven't reserved that it's unlikely they'll get one, and if they're nearer the end of the queue that they won't. Glad I've reserved!

Won't get mine until about 10am at the earliest at this rate...

Yeah I saw that, and I saw it happening on a 3G from a couple of years ago. But either way there's apparently at least 40 videos of the problem, and that was the day before the phone launched officially!

Surely Apple have got to acknowledge they're at least looking into it.

:eek: Thats quite bad... only to be expected with so many deliverys today though.

Hi mate, Just got back myself. I was the first phone on o2 out of the door. There is a massive queue now, with long wait times. However Reserved phones can just go straight to the front of the line.

Just wait till you get it, amazing piece of engineering.
 
More people turnig up now. Since I'm first, people expect me to be the expert and know how much stock they have, when they open etc. Apparently O2 at the O2 have sold out.

You must have been right behind me then! I was the first one out of the door but I was on sim free. I was served at the desk next to the iPad and iPhone cases. :)

I'm afraid not; mine's been "out for delivery" since 4:54 this morning :/

I also live in Dubai and I am using Aramex Shop & Ship to receive my sim free iPhone 4 from the UK. The service takes 2 days from the UK and it cost me 129 AED for my pre-ordered iPad, camera kit and dock. My iPhone will cost around 59 AED. I will most likely receive delivery on Saturday or Sunday latest. I already have my micro sim from Etisalat so I'm good to go :)
 
Awaiting UPS, Dispatched this the Morning from Tamworth. Good Job i only live 10M away (20mins drive) i should get it any minute

ARHHH YEAHHHHH:D:apple::apple::apple::D
 
Got a text from DPD saying my orange upgrade will be here between 14.07 and 15.07 :D
Although wish I could have slept in now :(
Oh well plenty of time to do all my other tasks for the day :D
And wait for my topman and allsaints ( all saints is comign by dpd as well, I wonder if it will be the same people) deliverys :apple:
