The U.K. iPhone 4 Thread

Anybody else with TNT got this:

"24 Jun 2010 04:34:57 London City Shipment Held In Warehouse. Follow Up Actions Underway."

I called them this morning and they say this is 'normal', but it doesn't look normal to me and it hasn't moved since. Gonna be very p*ssed if this doesn't arrive today!
 
Micro Sim

to everyone who has managed to get their hands on this amazing new iPhone little tip for everyone waiting for sim swap... Use your microsim as a template for cutting your current sim... easy to do and works a charm using my simfree iPhone with my simplicity o2 cut up sim right now!
 
UPS delivered mine in central York about half an hour ago. Activated, synced (sync'd?) and no sign of any yellow patches on the screen :D

Hi..just got my 32GB from O2, won't be able to set it up till tonight.
I already have a 3GS on O2 so it was an upgrade, same phone number...
When I put the micro sim in the iPhone 4 and connect it to iTunes for the first time will it restore everything from my last 3GS backup onto it and do the Sim Swap, or do I nede to manually instigate the Sim swap? I asked the guy in the O2 store when I bought the phone and he said there was no need for me to do anything as their system will autmoatically initiate the sim swap...
 
Parents just picked up their 16GB iPhone. They had to wait 4 hrs.

O2 Bath say they had 100 iphones. Not sure what the split was but parents got there at 7am and the queue was already 200 people (obv not everyone bought one) stood waiting.

Places other than O2 can process it for sure but I can't confirm Apple can for definite. I've just got back from Carphone Warehouse and they managed to do the early upgrade for me. O2's messed up the external system that allows CPW to do them with the computers though so they have to call up and pass the phone over to you for you to pay O2 direct (you can't call O2 yourself to prepay it though). I was on hold for 45 minutes but patience paid out in the end.
 
went to the Newark on Trent store at 8.45am, only 10 people in the line and they opened the doors as i got there.

Turned out they had plenty of stock as they are a newly refurbished branch.

Chuffed :D
 
200+ in the RESERVED line at Regents St. I don't want one badly enough to stand there for 3 hours.
A few less people standing around in yellow bibs and a few more serving would be good. :mad:
 
First impressions :D

Very nice to hold, Design is Beautiful - Classic Apple
Signal seems to hold up okay, Nothing like the Signal Problems in the US
Love the 2 speakers now, Sound is Better
Video is superb, Camera is deffo a step up, Great for Casual and Tweets
Display is simply superb, Can't fault it and Videos look Wowza
 
At last

Just got back from o2. Great morning, even though o2 were rather slow on the service front, only 4 staff members...

Anyway enjoying the new iPhone!

How's everyone finding it?

Do you have a link of where to get the front and back invisible shields which have the correct holes for cameras, etc. A few sites I've seen are offering a poorly cut out front for both front and back.

Bastard.

Mine has somehow been delivered to the Dewsbury depot, and now won't be delivered until tomorrow. You'd think all the York iPhones would all be in the same van!

Someone at UPS is going to die...

I can see the Apple store out my office window, and could lob a stone at the O2 store!
