i'm still waiting..... is your new sim inside your new phone? or is it just lying there?

The new uSIM I left inside the regular-SIM-sized bit of plastic and stuck it back in my old 3GS. I'm hoping it won't be the full 24 hours like O2 are telling people.

Annoying that some people have managed to get it sorted in five minutes though. Just the luck of the draw I guess, though the fact one stopped working and the new one isn't working made me start to wonder if I'd typed in the wrong SIM number on the SIM Swap webpage... :)

UPS van stopped outside my house, guy got out, looked around, got back in and drove off WTF - Hopefully not meant for me.

If I were you I would call UPS ASAP. I had this happen to me a while ago with TNT. About an hour later my delivery update online had changed to "customer not home" and in the end, even after much conversation on the phone with TNT's customer services, I had to get it redelivered the next working day, which was a Monday.

Sim hasn't swapped over yet, so I can't test the signal, but I don't have a yellow spot - I've checked using a flashlight app.

Activation has gone through though, just syncing over iMovies and a few more songs now and I'm good to go, though I need to find a new wallpaper.

Oh Dear

Should have gone to O2 I guess?

;-)

I was down stairs at the orange shop, we got a bloke come out with the iphone to play with. only had 2 x 32gb iphones. saw the Q upstairs and it was long by 7.30.

i herd some knob up there doing a countdown too. when i got my 3g from there i got a free muffin water and some lovely ladies to chat to.

at orange i had a fat bloke, wheezing and wearing extremely coloured orange crocs, i think i win. didn't even get an iphone in the end, :(

Regent Street Reserved Que?

Hi Does anyone know how long the Reserved que is at the Regent Street store is as of about 12:30?

Thanks

Got mine delivered about 30 mins ago by UPS in East London. So far its all ok... I will double check for a yellow tint once I install Flashlight. So far no issues with reception when being held.

My 16gb arrived via UPS this morning at 8:58am (Tewkesbury, Glos) though had to chop up my sim as hadn't bothered to pick up a micro sim from O2 but was simple and all working well.

No screen/reception issues at all :D

BTW, people reported there was no sim-eject toll with the iP4, mine was in the same place as with the 3GS just inside the flap of the little box holding the paperwork :)

Sorry to rub it in for all of you still waiting for deliveries but the screen is just amazing, "once you go retina you can never go back", steve was right!

Well, after Vodafone store this am refused to let me have one as it would take 24 hours to get the credit check back, I have finally managed to order one on Vodafone website. They reckon within 2 weeks for delivery.

I really really hope it's quicker than that though.

Can i activate and use my iphone without a microsim? Obviously not using phone services? I dont have a microsim yet

I arrived at the bullring apple store from about 7.15am this morning.

The unreserved queue was huge!Easily could have been 100. Spoke to a fellow the back of the queue who told me the reserved queue was around the corner and much shorter!

Even in the reserved queue I was waiting over an hour and was about 15-20the in line.

Even though I bought sim free, it still took about 15mins to serve me, and they seemed very slow & relaxed considering there were 200 odd people waiting to be served! Not good IMO

My cut down giffgaff sim worked fine, and these phones are truly unlocked. The speed and screen resolution are the main things I'm pleased about. The little tweeks to the UI are great too, e.g the threaded emails.

My only disappointment was no white iPhones OR white bumpers at launch

Sent from my iPhone 4

Can you cut down your 3GS sim and put it in the iPhone 4?

Or will O2 throw a wobbly

See my post above yours, cut my 3G sim down this morning... O2 won't care, though do make a note of the numbers on your sim for swapping to a proper micro sim at a later date!

No, it asked for a SIM with no pin lock to activate via. iTunes sadly, hence I chopped mine up!

Dunno, sorry, I had my new SIM in it at least, even if it's not transfered over my account yet.

So, I need some form of case. How is it working at the Apple shops in London? Are they even open for non-iPhone business? Do they have any accessories left?

Just talked to a bloke from the O2 Exeter Store.
He said they get deliveries daily. He also said, unlike other stores, they had way over 100x iPhones in the store, and the queue has completely dissolved.. although today's supply has completely drained.

I would be very excited if I could get an iPhone 4 on Saturday, very happy indeed. O2 are not as bad as I thought they were. :)
