Hey guys,

Long peruser, first time poster....

Just about to head of to Manchester (Arndale), should be there in about 1-2 hours. Not really worried about the queue, but there haven't been any issues with people not getting reserved phones, right? These are kept separate from the free sale stock...right?

i'm just back from manchester arndale with my sim free phone, got there bout 10 past 11 and waited just under 2 hours in the reserved line - the apple guys were saying though that everyone who has one reserved will get one, 100% definite

I'm on orange sim only at the moment and they say they haven't got any micro sims til next week so thinking of cutting mine up... bit nervous tho, how neat do you have to be? don't want to get it jammed in the phone cos my arts and crafts skills aren't up to it, somehow I doubt they'd fix it under warranty! any experiences/photos of people's finished products would be much appreciated ta

eBay Prices - Double the RRP!

Just seen a 32GB iPhone 4 go for £1,270 on eBay.

Item No. 110549845186

Some people are really impatient and have more money than sense!

Hi all

Sorry i haven't read through the previous replies to the thread but thought I would just post up some photos I took this morning of the ques in Birmingham city.

I was up at 5am and in town at the bullring doors waiting to get in for about 0650 on the dot. Went straight to the Orange shop and was first in and first out with no problems getting an iPhone 4 16Gb in black.

Was over the moon and much happier on Orange for 3g switching from o2. Also it's a worthy upgrade for me switching from a 16gb iPhone 3G!! Couldn't actually believe how slow my 3G was in comparison. Overall I am loving my new iPhone and can't wait for the apps to catch up :)

Anyway, here are my pics

image-3.jpg

This is the que for the o2 store inside the bullring. This was nearing 8:30 am I think. Quite a small que and expected more people to wait here tbh considering the size of ques outside.

This was the que from the apple store Birmingham towards the large doors.

image-1.jpg

This is the que from the other end of the picture above. There were two ques, one for pre orders and one for walk-ins. Neither seemed to be moving very quick and I didn't stick around to watch but getting up early and having a plan pays off and that's all I know  I felt for the poor buggers in the que as it was looooong and the pictures don't present that too well. Would like to wait here for a few hours to get told the iPhone was out of stock.

image-2.jpg

Last picture for the que to the o2 store opposite the bullring entrance opposite Gamestation. This was also quite a long que stretching for a few 100 meters. Couldn't capture the entirety of it due to not being able position myself well. Would be shocked if everyone in this que got an iPhone 4. They looked happy though having a laugh..

That's it anyway. Sorry I didn't take more as I just wanted to go home and open my new toy :) and the photos were taken with my old 3G hence the quality. Peace folks. :)

Edit due to my terrible spelling, typed the whole thing up on my iPhone 4. No chance I would have ever done this on my 3G. Lol

Trafford Centre Update

Anyone been into the Trafford Centre in the last hour or so? I'm going to collect my32gb from the Apple Store - reserved of course - just wondered what I should be expecting!

Roll on 4pm when I can get out of here!!! :D

Well I finally bit the bullet and went for vodaphone, none of the others seem to be able to compare as regards European use so I was somewhat limited in my choice!

They said they were sold out now, so I'll get mine sometime in the next couple of weeks apparently. Sufficiently vague!!

Hey, everybody -- it's "Q-U-E-U-E", or else "L-I-N-E" if that's too much trouble! We're doing nothing but waiting today, there's plenty of time to get it right! :)

One thing a bloke at the Apple Store said is that they were more likely to get stock sooner than online, so it may be worht, those having to wait until July, in seeing if they open a reserve list as they did for the iPad.

For all of us still waiting for our deliveries :)

http://live.twit.tv are providing some coverage of the US release, with a bit in the studio giving a few demos. Just had a live FaceTime call with Mark from the UK. Mark if you're here raise your hand. :)

Might kill the time whilst waiting in anticipation lol

Looks crazy, good job in early queueing. I would of if i didnt have an exam tomorrow therefore i preordered and still awaiting. In this case the early bird gets SCRAPS

To be honest, it does make sense because otherwise every time they got stock their online systems would go down.

Apple are geniuses at what they do. The best thing for them to do is supply far fewer handsets than demand requires. The PR for them is brilliant as everyone's going to be screaming about the fact that everywhere's sold out, and it will increase demand even further as everyone's going to be talking about them.

CPW told me that the next batch was likely to be around the 3rd July.

TNT delivery has arrived - but it's broken :(

Out of the box the speaker doesn't work, no rngtones, mail alerts etc etc.
Phone is in ringer, not headphones and all sound works through the headphones.
Volume is up and restore has done nothing.
Apple care advance replacement will be with me tomorrow.

One thing I did notice though, whilst standing outside on the phone to mr apple support rep, (on another phone) I couldn't get the signal drop to occur.
If I go inside I can set it off straight away.

Oooh, my fiancée just called on the landline because she said it wouldn't connect to my mobile so hopefully that's a sign that my sim cards are about to swap over! I haven't even looked at my iPhone 4's screen yet. I plugged it in upside down, synced it up etc all without looking at the screen so that I can finally ooh and aah when it's all done. :)

On a side note, O2 texted me a few seconds ago to say that my iPhone has now been unlocked as requested (my 3Gs that is).

Ah well, hopefully the footy can distract me from waiting for UPS to turn up

Edit: Doorbell (rung by UPS man) went at exact moment first Slovakian goal went in!
