Hutchison 3 UK Tariffs?

2GB? Their website only says 1GB. Can you confirm this?

Indeed, which Tariff? (3's tariffs and offers are bewilderingly complex, to a non-customer.)

The official, "The Real Deal", list that they publish lists SIM-only at £10 and £15; with further fees for data addons (an extra £10 for 1GB per month.)

I assume they also don't have functioning Visual Voicemail (Only O2 and Vodafone seem to have that in the UK.)

So tethering is free with Three then? Thats really good. I didnt even realise it was an option and that Apple could setup contracts until it was too late this morning after we had upgraded. Probably would have gone with them.

Where does it say that tethering is free on 3?

Have tried to ignore the UPS wait all day... been at work since 7am want to go home with my shiny new toy. Anybody had a delivery in EC4?

Has anyone managed to confirm that buying on contract from Apple to a network, is their iPhone locked to that network?

Also, those buying on PAYG from tesco, was it locked?

UPS van delivered my iPhone 4 about an hour ago. [Edinburgh]

No yellowing of screen; but yes, cupping left bottom corner loses all signal over about 8 seconds. Goes to "No Service" and no phone/data possible.
- not a problem for voice calls, as I'm right-handed.. but a big problem for texting/internet as I cup the phone in my left palm and type with right.. and signal completely goes if I do this. :-(

Is there a mechanism to inform Apple the scale of this problem?

OMG I'm still waiting!! I'm in cannonmills Edinburgh

And it's cheaper! the 32gb is £30 less

Unfortunately their system is still down, I literally just got off the phone to them after deciding to try again after receiving the email from them. The guy I spoke to said that they 'hope' it will be back up by tomorrow but are working to get it back up sooner. Also, due to the volume of calls they're not doing call backs - so just have to keep trying / keep an eye on the forums as hopefully when they are up and running someone will post it here.

I am wondering if I should go with Orange (already with them and T-Mobile merger sounds interesting) or Three. So confused. Help!

Facing a similar choice; but read somewhere that all the Three data goes through some content filtering servers(-?) for both iPhone and tethered devices. Anyone have any experience? does this cause any problems?

Anyone got one with vodafone? I got an upgrade with new contract.
Mine still says no service. Should I fill out that online form with the codes from my old sim and new sim card?

Got told exactly the same. Will try again later.

Same here, I'm deciding between Orange and 3, but siding with 3 at the moment. Planning to go SIM-free, and the 3 plans seem unbeatable.

And now we play the waiting game............

....the waiting game sucks, lets play hungry hungry hippo's

I'm on a SIM only plan that I've had before the iPhone. It's the £10 SIM package with 100mins and unlimited texts and unlimited data. (Internet Max addon) - various 3 reps have told me the Internet Max addons fair usage limit is actually 2gb even though the site says 1GB.

EDIT: Yes, after connecting to iTunes you are prompted to do a carrier settings IPCC update. It restricts access to the celluar data network settings but tethering stays and is free (for now at least. Not charged me yet and I've asked a 3 rep who said its free)

Don't worry about the Visual Voicemail. HulloMail works fine and it's free... :)

Was stood in line earlier outside the local Vodafone store. Chatting to the guy next to me and thought we would compare download speeds. Him on Vodafone, me on O2. Both full 3G signals. Using the speedtest app we performed a check. He got 1.2mbps I got 620kbps.

Looks like Vodafone is double the speed (ish).

I'm not defending O2 (let's face it, they're pretty poor) but the Vodafone store probably has one of those signal boosters hooked up inside the store.

Got my iPhone. Having to manually change to a micro sim as the Apple Store had no micro sims. After FINALLY getting a sim from O2 I begin the swap my sim process. What do I get? "

Your mobile phone number is not a valid O2 number. Please can you re-enter your mobile phone number. "

*sigh*

Just got back from Cribbs after picking up a 32gb and a bumper, the bumper is REALLY nice actually! Very nicely made, a great fit and with little metal buttons for the volume and on/off switch it's a nice touch. Though at £25 its a typical overpriced Apple item, but hey... I bought one and so did a lot of other folk!

Pic taken with iP 4 :)

Apple store was quiet, they said it was manic earlier and they expect a rush later after work (they are open until 9pm)... the O2 store had about 25 people still queuing outside though!
