Isin't the iPhone 4 using Wifi and the 3Gs/3G using the carrier?
Nah, I didn't take the screenshot immediately, I'd let the phone go to sleep before I woke it up to take the grab, so it hadn't reconnected to the WiFi yet!

Isin't the iPhone 4 using Wifi and the 3Gs/3G using the carrier?
UPS van delivered my iPhone 4 about an hour ago. [Edinburgh]
No yellowing of screen; but yes, cupping left bottom corner loses all signal over about 8 seconds. Goes to "No Service" and no phone/data possible.
- not a problem for voice calls, as I'm right-handed.. but a big problem for texting/internet as I cup the phone in my left palm and type with right.. and signal completely goes if I do this. :-(
Is there a mechanism to inform Apple the scale of this problem?
anyone know when orange are gona be updating there stocks? or at least when they will start offering iphone4 on payg cant believe they didnt this morning. what a rip.
I live in Caterham and STILL haven't received my iPhone.
Thanks a bunch UPS.
UPS guy just arrived with two iPhones
Said he had 58 on his run as well as his normal days work and wouldnt be home until 9pm
Now off to o2 for the third time for the correct sims
On the plus side, I'm learning a lot about UK geography from this thread![]()
I was livid when i queued outside my local Orange shop for 45 minutes only to be told they wouldnt sell me it on PAYG.
I have registered on their website to phone/email me when they sell the PAYG units online. Annoys me that they are saying the PAYG Units are 'Out of Stock' when they have it available to buy on contract, the units are exactly the same!
They make more money through contracts than PAYG, but they should of done what O2 and Vodafone did and not release the PAYG Prices!
Where you from, so i can tell if im close
Has anyone managed to get a Tmobile sim working?
The phone is just not reading it!
Yes, it works fine. I first tried a free PAYG SIM and then my own which is 10 years old. Had to cut through the metal part of that one!
We also figured out that it's bridging the gap between antennas that causes signal to go down.
I am astounded at how good Three is. Free tethering and a 2gb data allowance. These are the speeds I'm getting consistently over 3G

2GB? Their website only says 1GB. Can you confirm this?
I am wondering if I should go with Orange (already with them and T-Mobile merger sounds interesting) or Three. So confused. Help!
