The U.K. iPhone 4 Thread

Some left over plastic left over from moulding which I've now broken off has left marks over the steel round the edge!

they will not rub out so I'm stuck with it now, i like my things perfect, i look after all my stuff, have never dropped the phone and i cant see a bit of dust scratching stainless steel somehow!

The bumper is official apple black bumper and it's took off every night so i can dock the phone! The phone and bumper are wiped clean every night too!

I'm hoping for orders for the white as early as next week, to be delivered before the end of July. (as opposed to one can start ordering at the end of July)
 
I wouldnt worry guys and gals about waiting. I have a sneaky feeling 4.0.1 has done something to enhance the antenna (even though Apple only went on about the bar display). Where in strong areas, I could knock out the signal. Now... it hangs on around 1 and 2 bars. Just buy one with a bumper if you're that worried :D.

I will be claiming my free bumper! Then I can choose between my nice leather case and the bumper!

Same here....I ordered my black leather case from amazon today.....
And I'll probably claim one of those free cases as well. So I can chose depending on if I'm going onto a long journey or a quick walk to the store.
 
I purchased my 32gb iphone 4 from the Apple shop

am I allowed to return it tomorrow for another one (brand new)

can I just say I am having signal problems?

of course you can but what makes you think the new one will have suddenly become signal problem free????

there are all the same thats why your be offered a free case or bumper!!

thats apples solution to the problem!! take it or leave it

What can I say that will make them give me a brand new one?

cos mine has a few scratches on the back

Hate to say it but it's immoral people like you who cause product prices to go up for no good reason. Why should you get a new one because yours was scratched? Look after it more carefully. Besides, it's money-back or free case so you won't be getting a new one, fortunately. Even if they were to give you a new phone, in addition to you causing price rises for no good reason, you could cause somebody who genuinely DOES have a defective phone to have to wait longer for a replacement.

Get real.
 
@ Doyle ; I think after the announcement today it will be a case of return it if you're not happy with the "signal issue" or take a free bumper. Replacing your phone for the signal problem is probably not what they'll offer you. TBH, immorality aside, I know everyone wants to keep their new phone pristine but you should have just been more careful, bit cheeky to expect them to give you a new one because you were careless.

yea they are, you can buy mine if u like, it wont work if you hold it unless you have a bumper on it, but steve says that doesnt matter..

lol can u imagine ebay adverts saying this in april - june next year woooo haha

heads up got another email from carphone warehouse they will be getting new stock on the majority of there stores from tomorrow
any heard from apple store regent street recently if you were on priority list and if so when did u get put on the list?
just asking im hoping i can get mine before august 3rd becase im going states, and i dont want to wait another 4 weeks before one is available t pick up
