Anyone got any guesses as to how long before apple have enough stock to advertise shipping within 24 hours, as opposed to three weeks at the moment.

I can confirm that there is definately a shortage of iPhone 4 in the UK.

If you read through my other post in the "Priority List" thread, you can see that I had registered my interest one day after the launch.

Since then, I have not received any further emails.

I've registered at White City, Regents Park, and Birmingham Bull Ring.

I've also bought one from the Apple store on the 7th of July. Hopefully I'll be able to collect from store. Which ever comes first, I'll cancel the other. :(

Finally picked up from Regent St!

Hey everyone,

I've been following this thread for about three weeks now. Just thought I'd update for anyone waiting on the Regent St list. I put my name down very late on Saturday 26th by phone (about 10 mins before the shop closed I think) and finally got my e-mail on Thursday morning (at 8:36am, if anyone's wondering) and picked it up yesterday. I got the 32GB. I remember reading a way back that someone who put their name down on the 24th got their e-mail last Thursday week, so it looks like there's about a week's wait for every couple of days, although I suppose it also depends on what model you're down for.

I'm loving it so far, although I've not got a working microsim yet so I've just been running it over WiFi. Hopefully I'll sort out a SIM tomorrow and I'll get to test out the signal issues.

This is the iPhone 4 UK thread - this is totally irrelevant. Can't you create a thread? Sorry to be a pain but when you just want to check the status of stock ect. it's annoying to have to read through all these irrelevant posts.

Sorry, i thought the topic " The U.K. iPhone 4 Thread" meant that we could talk about our phones, problems, carriers, etc etc

Once again, im sorry :(

It seems some of you on here are waiting a long time for online orders and Apple store purchases. A lot of people I know are able to just walk into any phone shops and pick one up, also a lot of you on here seem to be waiting for an email saying their is new stock available. Let me tell you that you will never get this email, ever. Stop waiting and go in store to pick one up.

Don't listen, that Nick is just being a bit of a prick. This thread is for everything iPhone 4 related, orerd updates just seems to have taken control. Quite frankly I don't care where abouts people's iPhones are in the world or when they are expecting them. Problem solving, and helpful information is more important.

Sorry - I was a bit out of order. Although bigchris there was no need for the insult, people used to say that to me when I was about 8 ;)

You seem to have completely missed the point; these people are looking for Apple sourced, unlocked phones rather than walking into a Vodafone/ O2/ Orange shop. Unless you are lucky, you are not going to be able to just walk into an Apple store and pick up a phone.

Hey.

just want to know if there is really a 3 weeks waiting period for the the IP4 when you order from Apple online store.

thanks

I ordered my iPhone 4 32GB sim free direct from Apple online and still waiting and should arrive tomorrow, a little over 3 weeks.

It's still on its way to Milton Keynes. :(
