Spent a good few days last week phoning Tesco stores to be told one or all of the following: 1)There is no reserve list 2)There's a reserve list with a lot of people on it 3)We don't know when we're getting more 4)We're not getting any until the end of the month 5)We can't tell you whether or not we have stock, you have to physically go to the store.
I'm out of contract with O2 having been with them since the first iPhone was released. Their new tariffs aren't competitive, so I wanted to move to Tesco. Yes, I could wait until supply is outstripping demand but I'd like one now, I just wish that Tesco would have a better system in place for this. :-(
I'm tempted to go with either Orange or Vodafone as the Carphone Warehouse website tells me they both have it in stock (32Gb only on Vodafone) - their tariffs are not the worst (as opposed to O2!) but I'd still be tied in to 18 months. Having said that, iPhone4 is a fairly big step up from the 3GS and I'm wondering if next June will even see another new handset?
Alternatively, has anyone had any experience of being an existing O2 contract holder (as I am) and offered a better tariff than the published ones to stay with them?
