Are you with Lloyds TSB? -_- sucks doesnt it? .... The guy said he would ring my mobile when they hear about new stock... so il give you a PM if I hear anything so that we can both get our hands on one

Missed these posts. Also with Lloyds and they flagged up the payment on my credit card as possibly fraudulent. Didn't flag up the shedloads I spent in Ireland the week before  but I had to make about 8 phone calls and it held the phone up for a few days.

Cheers, and hope you get your phone soon. Enjoy!

Thanks. At the risk of winding you up further, mine actually turned up this morning at just gone nine. At least when you do manage to place an order they don't mess about with sending it. :)

Very shiny it is too.

Anyone trying to upgrade (not early) with o2? My gf called them on Monday, got her new iPhone 4 yesterday. No drama, no problems, nothing.

I called up Apple to ask how the refund for the black bumper would work. The 'genius' said i should come to the shop so they can put the refund back into my debit card (nonsense as it happened automatically in the end).

He then said i could then apply for a free case by downloading the app from my iPhone 4 :confused::confused:

I then got an email a few hrs later saying i was entitled to a free case. Well at this point i felt I'd oblige Apple and treat myself to another free case.

Do i feel bad about any of this?????? No ********* way :D

I got a black bumper from O2 which was eligible for a refund from this scheme. I asked Apple if I was still allowed to apply for the free case through the Iphone app and was told 'its one or the other'.

As the bumper bought from O2 wasnt an automatic refund I didnt want to risk it and just sent it back under the 14 day distance selling regulations.

I then applied the Speck Pixelskin HD and that will not be delivered until Oct 21st

The only stock issues seem to be with the Sim Free ones direct from Apple.

Just kidding, glad to see you got your order and they don't mess about once you finally manage to get an order placed. Is the activation process smooth or tedious like others have said?

Well, what a crock of ***** dealing with 3 are.

Got my 3 monthly contract micro-SIM in the post. Got a micro-SIM adaptor free from O2 so I can use the 3 micro-SIM in my iPhone 3G in meantime while waiting for an iPhone 4. Also called O2 to get a PAC code, no problems. Call 3 to activate the micro-SIM and port my number, the bint on the phone then tells me they cannot do a number port on monthly contracts despite it says you can in the information pack with the micro-SIM and on the website. She checks with her manager and its a no go. I mean WTF? What's the point in having a PAC code system if the networks don't honor it?

It seemed simple enough to me. Plug into iTunes, sync it all up, off you go. Having said that, I needed to install the iOS update and a carrier update, but it does all that for you. I rang up about swapping my number over and was told it'd be put through on Friday. So far so good.

I've just done the same thing, On the £15 rolling contract with 3. I ported my number over to three with no problems. However the person who set up my 3 account told me that i would have to phone CS after my sim had be activated to port my number.

My Number was transferred with not problems yesterday!

I had numbers ported to and from 3 (pay monthly) using the PAC system in the past. Try again with someone different.

Exactly what i did, got it less then 24 hours after i called.

Who are you calling? At the moment with O2 isn't it the case you can only get IP4 from the shops? I have looked on the O2 website stock location list and the new phones especially 16gb ones are few and far between?

Also what happened to all the threads about people cutting their sim cards? Are people just transferring to micro sim now?

So, could someone tell me if the only way to get an iphone from tesco is by phoning the 0800 433 4994 number or can you simply walk into a store and get one?

Well in theory you can walk into any Tesco store that has a Phone Shop and buy it straight out. But in practice, I have found it impossible as they never seem to have stock.

Hi ordered my iphone on the 14th july, still not yet shipped, but the shipping method changed yesterday from merge in transit to Fast Ship (EMEA) anyone know why its change, I do have a bumper and a dock on my order also I wonder if thats anything to do with it thanks.

It means they're not going to wait for your whole order to be ready to ship it all in one go, when one thing is ready to ship, it'll ship. Probably because of the huge wait on bumpers.

Weird its gone back to merge in transit GB, and I phoned apple earlier, wonder if my query effected it.

Do you know how often the 0800 433 4994 number get stock in?

To be honest with you I have no idea. But everytime you call them, ignore the we are currently out of stock of the iPhone message. I called them yesterday and hung up after that. If I had held on I would have had my iPhone by now :(

No T-Mobile update yet?

http://twitter.com/tmobileofficial

website has not been updated though.

According to people on the t-mobile forums, people on the waiting list have been getting calls and offer of the iphones.

The original tariff page had the handset prices adjusted downwards before being pulled, whether they'll stay the same when the reappear or if they'll revise them again we shall see...

Well my phone is currently sitting waiting for me at the CPW as CPW said they couldn't deliver to my work address . It may not be white but at least I now (almost) have one. However I still have to nail this data roaming thing before I can sign on the dotted line.

Also, how long are number transfers taking at the moment? I'm going from o2 to Vodafone.

Data roaming overseas with any of the carriers is expensive .... around £1+ per MB (so I just use wifi) Depends if you plan on using it abroad to access the web. I'm with Vodafone, and I used mine in Barcelona last week (They have a thing called passport, which is a flat charge of 75p per call in most of europe + minutes from my allowance. If you receive a call while abroad it costs 75p and you can talk for 60 minutes !) Network was Vodafone ES, and I was getting 4-5 bars all the time.

Some folk over at avforums say there are no blocks on three, I wonder what sites they prohibit apart from the usual.

What's three's reception like these days?
