The U.K. iPhone 4 Thread

You know what? I'm a bit bored of it now. As soon as the iPhone 4 was announced I wanted one ASAP and have been following developments avidly.

Now I'm happy to wait to see how things pan out and wait a few weeks until after launch if necessary. I've had my 3G for 2 years now, so waiting a few weeks for the dust to settle won't hurt.

After all, how many HD videos will I need to shoot in those weeks considering I haven't done any in the last 2 years ;)

To be honest with you, Aberdeen isn't exactly buzzing with Apple people even though we have an Apple store we have CPW, Orange, o2, Vodafone in the same shopping center and then Apple down in another one so either way everyone who is desperate too get theirs on their chosen network will, also if T-mobile and 3 get it we have those aswell. So if you want to travel up here you are pretty much going to get one here lol.

keep telling yourself that over and over.... i did the same with the iPad and ended up getting one on launch!!! maybe you have more self control than me though
just think how shiny its gonna be :D

yep they're getting it aswell 3 and t mobile
 
ive never bought an iphone so i gotta ask, do u get the same crappy headphones with it like you do the ipod touch ?, i got the boring ones with that .
 
For the price we pay for this phone I think we should all be allowed a free pair of B&W P5's.

They are really nice.
 
Unanswerable question I suspect until next week, but we suspect that O2 won't be doing pre-orders at all, do you think that CPW will be taking pre-orders for upgrades so I don't need to queue outside at stupid o'clock on launch day???!!! lol

People who signed up for notifications on CPW's website got emails today stating that they will be facilitating a pre-order service.

Still think I'm just going to like it and lump it and buy a PAYGO handset and chuck my contract sim in it. Will more than likely do that through Apple.
 
I've just signed up for the 1 month Simplicity with unlimited data. Will cancel if another carrier comes up with a good offer including unlimited data.
 
Off the running topic... but it's UK related so it's on-topic if we're talking title of the thread:

I just claimed on my O2 Insure and they are going to replace my White 16GB iPhone 3G on monday... do you think I'll be lucky and get a 3Gs since they don't do the 16GB 3G anymore?
 
I was just looking at the Giff Gaff sims, based on what people were saying on here, I was very interested!

Seems the unlimited internet offer ends June 2010 though, and they don't currently offer MicroSims.

Guess I'll have to play the waiting game and see which of the carriers has the best offer/tariffs....the waiting games sucks, lets play hungry hungry hippos!

There'll be one in some guys drawer somewhere in a dark room, probably where "Guru James" sleeps - they'll send you that ;)

Haha. I'll just drop it again and get a new one again until they run out and give me a 3Gs... maybe this is the answer to all our troubles?

- Keep current contract on 3Gs
- Wait until iPhone 5 when 3Gs is discontinued
- Drop 3Gs
- Get iPhone 4 for free
- Insert SIM

Hahah, I just got my iPhone original replaced, with exactly the same model and everything. They always replace the same product, of if it's not available, they tell you it's not available, and send you something crappy.
