We do the 3GS on PAYG, it's up to o2 if they don't want us to do PAYG with o2 on the iPhone 4 so don't blame us, for you all know o2 might not do PAYG straight off either, for a comment like that I am hoping them don't now.

you could also have: half a bag of sand, or half a grubby hand

'bag of sand' and 'grubby hand' both mean £1000 apparently but since monkey does mean £500 it's best to use that one

Have I missed something? Has there been something announced to say that the phone is only going to be released on contract on the 24th, no PAYG?

Was hoping to pre-order a PAYG from Apple on the 15th, for delivery on the 24th.

I was hoping to as well, but apparently the PAYG isn't usually available immediately. I've been told that it took 60-90 days in the past. But I never followed the previous releases properly, so that could be wrong. Hope so!

this thread only seems to be about people on o2 trying to figure out how to get 'unlimited' data usage on an iphone 4 :/

wish it was a bullseye instead of a monkey

A metric tonne is 1000 kilos. Can't be bothered to look up an imperial 'ton'. :p

Can't believe all the iPhones are going to be locked - crazy! Might end up taking O2 up on their £20 early upgrade offer at this rate.

-shakes head, we dont know anythin yet.

I intend to get a payg iPhone4 on O2, so I really hope them do start selling it right away, rather than waiting for a month or so.

I have to say though, my order of preference for buying it is: Apple Store Mail Order, Apple Store in person, O2 shop (reluctantly-really can't stand mobile phone shops).

There's no way on earth I would shop at Phones4U or Carphone Warehouse.

Yeah that will be annoying - might have to hang onto my tired old 3G for a few weeks more then...

cant remember the last time i was in a phone shop, the salesmen are pushy tossers
I’m getting PAYG on o2 as i have 12 months left on my contract, ill pay more but its worth it rather than giving o2 another term! gives me 12 months use, then ill probably sell it and buy the new model :)))
