I think I will change my £35 iPhone tarrif that is a couple of months out of contract to the 12 months iPhone simplicity for £15/month. Then get the iPhone 4 on PAYG and keep my unlimited data for 12 months.

Probably wait to confirm handset prices once pre-ordering starts just to confirm that's the best deal.

Edit: Basically same as above :)

yes I'll probably go on simplicity plan, PROVIDING that the pay & go is available on the same day (24th) and is a reasonable price.

hmm looking at this in the T&C:

Included Unlimited Wi-Fi and Web Bolt Ons for iPhone Customers only

The Unlimited Wi-Fi and Web Bolt On is included at no extra cost for customers connecting or upgrading to any iPhone tariff until further notice. O2 reserves the right to withdraw or amend this offer at any time on reasonable notice

So they can remove the unlimited data on the 12 months simplicity contract at a later date?

great.... well I'm sure they will remove it especially that the the chief executive of o2 said that "unlimited data is a thing of the past"

Not sure, but unlimited data and unlimited wifi are two different things. Wifi means the free access to certain hotspots.

Right after studying the PLU's at work today I have found out and worked out this:

CPW will be doing contract only o2 iPhone 4's same as Vodafone, the Vodafone ones aren't actually showing they are locked into vodafone unlike the 3GS PLU's so this might be a story too follow. Also Orange have PLU's set up for Contract and PAYG on 16GB/32GB/Black and White.

yup, thats why i chose to purchase the 1 month simplicity sim, so if it goes tits up, i can cancel with 30 days notice, rather then being stuck with 12 months lol!

maybe?

orange is a company i cant do, i just get really bad signal where i live with orange.. if they are the only ones that do payasyougo id just unlock it.

What is a PLU?

Do you reckon I will be able to preorder?

I'm 12 months into a Business contract, and so I get an upgrade without any extension (contract was sign when O2 was reasonable) - my account manager said I can upgrade instore and because he's the manager of the store, he'll keep one to the side and not sell it til I get it, or tell him I don't want it. Shall I do this or do you reckon I will be able to get one delivered from online (easier)?

Have I missed something? Has there been something announced to say that the phone is only going to be released on contract on the 24th, no PAYG?

Was hoping to pre-order a PAYG from Apple on the 15th, for delivery on the 24th.
